Razor 0
A buddy is having a tourney with the following blinds and starting chips. As well as full re-buys for 2 hours and add ons after 2hrs.How long do you think it will take to finish? My estimate is at least 12 hrs.20 ppl, Start stack = 800 ; Blinds as follows below. 1st two levels are 1hr blinds, after that it goes to 30min.Also, it's a home game, so no designated dealer and there will be lost of ppl who won't know the betting. Any estimates on time would be greatly appreciated. I'm trying to figure out if I want to spend the time it will take to play.Thx4/85/1010/2015/3025/5050/10075/150100/200150/300300/600400/800500/10001500/30002000/40002500/50005000/10000

ForRealDD 0
You're starting with 16,000 chips in play, so your tourney will likely not last past the 300/600 level, if it makes it that far. MY guess is that it will be over by 150/300, or after the eigth hour.Edit: Just kidding, just now read the rebuy part. It would take much longer in theory but it won't. After hour 4 of this home game, the players will be bored out of their minds and opt to play a game of monopoly
bigbadbeat 0
just a guess but 6-7 hours, but that depends on how crazy people arestarting stacks are small so only 16000 chips in play, figure 4 rebuys and an add on for everybody and the total chips in play would be 96000. The blinds will take care of everything at the 1500/3000 level.

Razor 0
how much is the buy in?$40 buy-in ... $40 re-buys for full starting stack .... $20 add-on for 1/2 stack
threeparrots 0
I don't like the chip structure... at all. How many denominations are you planning? How many colorups? Too many chips and everything goes crazy.

Mercury69 3
Much less than 12 hours. People are crazy.
KoRnholio 2
I agree people are crazy in tournaments. Rebuys though... eek. I would guess 8-9 hours.
pkr_invitational 0
I would estimate 10 hrs, first two blind levels are 1hr each and then 30min from then on. 16,000 chips to start off in play. Consider these two facts, 40 buy-in ... $40 re-buys for full starting stack .... $20 add-on for 1/2 stack and full re-buys for 2 hours and add ons after 2hrs. If 10 of the twenty rebuy in the first two hours, that puts another 8,000 chips in play. 800 chips* 10 players. After the rebuys then the addons kick in, If every player brings a $100 then they all can buy-in, rebuy and get an add-on. buyin=800, rebuy=800, 1600*20=32,000 plus what ever addons are going to be.I think KoRnholio estimate is good but still not high enough. I'm thinking 10-11hrs. probably 10hrs. 20 players*$100=$2000 Payouts will be nice, but you'll earn it thats for sure. Good luck in the game. Don't forget breaks. Your probably going to have atleast 3 breaks maybe more. A food break also at some point. There is 15-20 min. The blind structure is drawn out too much. He is missing a 200/400 and 1000-2000 blind level also. blinds length of tourney4/8 1hr5/10 2hr10/20 2.5hr15/30 3hr25/50 3.550/100 4hr75/150 4.5hr100/200 5hr150/300 5.5hr300/600 6hr400/800 6.5hr500/1000 7hr1500/3000 7.52000/4000 8hr2500/5000 8.55000/10000 9hr
IveyFearsMe 0
I reccomend getting rid of the 4/8 level and start at 5/10... takes the annoying $1 chips off the table that will be obsolete after the first round anyways... you can even start with 1000 in chips, that way you would still start with 100 big blinds.
