The middle age floor person who sometimes deals at the local cardroom was bragging to the table about how she always come in 1st or 2nd in Party Play Money Limit SNG's. Every time. Wow. Its a $1/2 limit game, and I play the big tournies online and have to sit and listen to her dumb *** talking about her results with play money. Pay is minimum wage but you make the money through tokes. Go to dealers school, learn procedure, then go out IN PERSON and talk to cardroom managers and let em know youre serious about the job. P.S. If you can find a game with more than 5 dealers playing in it.....SIT DOWN!!! Almost every dealer Ive ever came in contact with outside of work playing poker is HORRENDOUS!!! HillP 0 Posted November 18, 2006 Share Posted November 18, 2006 I just started dealing less than 2 months ago at a small Indian casino where on a busy night we have two live nl tables going on but i still average over 22 bucks and hour after taxes and the dealers with more experience with me make a fair amount betterIt also matters on the casino if you need to go to dealing school i didn't have to go they just trained me themselves.Hours for me are nights because are card room is only open from 6pm to 5 am if the live game even goes that long, and I don't think that I have had to put a 40 hour work week in yet working 4 days a week which i like.
