18+ Casinos In California?

Recommended Posts

I'm 19, and in CA the legal gambling age is 18, but most casinos don't allow you to play if your under 21, because of the alchohol they serve. I right now will play at the Chumash Casino which is near where I live, but for my birthday in a couple of months I would like to try another casino which hopefully have more variety of limits. Does anyone know of other casinos that allow 18+ to gamble?...aside from Morongo ( i hear the poker sucks there)

I'm not really sure what that means. I guess it depends on what you're looking to play. They have a decent nlhe game $3-$5 blinds with no max buy in. Other than that the biggest you'll find is maybe $8/$16 limit. Omaha there is played with five cards, which is pretty much the stupidest thing I've ever heard of, and they never spread stud so there you go.

might be to far for you, but an 18+ casino in san diego called "sycuan". try looking up their website and see what they offer. And yes the play at morongo is horrbile in the lower staked games. 1-3nl has max buy in of 100, and the standard preflop raise is nearly 20$, so if your calling a raise, expect to defend for all your chips, those bad players just love to bet any two face cards to river. if u hit some hands however it pays off nice.

Thats exactly how the chumash is where i live, they have a $50 NL 1-2 blinds and its terrible, people will move in with nothing and draw out on you. I feel like im playing against retards, and the $50 buy in amount is way too small for 1-2 blinds. The thing that sucks for me, is I consider myself a much better live player than online player, but with my $800 bankroll (which was $200 2 days ago) I can't afford the good live games.

I personally like Barona but that's the first casino I've ever played at.They're NL games aren't very tough, they have a 1-2nl (50 buy in) and a 1-3 I think w/a 100-300 buy in. The limit game is SO easy if you're a good limit player. There were so many novices at my 4/8 table last time I played there. 3/6 and 4/8 are the only limit games that go, sometimes there's a 6/12 but not very often. Never played in that one.

It sounds like you're up north so I don't think I can help you out to much here but I know about all the southern casino's and they're pretty nice.Going down south, you'll hit Pauma, off the 76 East. They have 4 poker tables it's pretty terrible but it's 18+ and it's poker. They play 1/2NL and 3/6limit only.Going further south off the I15 and 67West you'll get to Barona which was mentioned it's probably one of the nicest poker rooms around. The only downfall is the players are pretty decent at the NL table. Not great but decent. Limit is fine but most of the older people will destroy you if your not careful. Then off of the 8 East you can hit Viejas which is actually one of my favorites. They have a couple of good tournies and also they have great cash games. They spread everything omaha, hold em, stud.Further down is Sycuan... This is by far one of the nicest poker rooms I've seen. They have a great menu and good limits. It's just hard to get a seat on a busy night. Other than that the players are soft and money is good.Hope I helped. You can find Sycaun and Viejas off their website. I recommend having your parents hook you up with a room at Barona or something for your birthday and have a few friends stay over night and pull like a 24 hour session and grub and enjoy the weather.-The Bwaves

Personally around here i think viejas has the best poker room. They run a lot of tourneys plus the Poker Aces tourney every 2 or 3 months which is a $300 buy in with no re-buys and 40 min blinds(great structure), it use to be 20 min. blinds and i stopped going there. They have a lot of tables with good games to choose from and decent players.

Viejas games at night are great. The NLHE games are deepstacked, meaning 2-5 nl max buy in 200x the BB or $1000, w/ the 1-3 nl max buy in is 300, or 100x the BB. This allows for better action and the ability to make more moves. The Aces tournament is designed incredibly well. Sycuan's poker room is being investigated by their gaming commission and the road to barona is horrible. I've had bad experiences at the Lady and Palomar, Ocean's is pretty nice, but I had a bad experience with a dealer not knowing the rules so I've pretty much played my last hands there. Pechanga is incredible, w/ over 50 tables and a beautiful poker room, that's also a good place to play. Might by 21+ though. Go w/ viejas.

Bwaves has it down pretty much... except I think Pauma is a dump. Get a fake.... and play at Ocean's 11.
Barona again, is one of the better 18+ casinos to play poker at...but if you get that fake id....just go to the commerce.
do any casinos in CA even card? if you go to a big room like the bike or commerce, i can't imagine they're going to ask for ID.
they usually do
