  1. Get out there Tuesday around noon, got good rate to stay at the wynn, shared room w/ 2 buddies. ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. In the mood to gamble, so I head down to play some 3 card poker, $15 min. 2nd hand I get 999, paying 30-1 on my pair plus, and 4-1 on my ante bet. dealer only pays me 10-1, floorman says "she didn't qualify". Seems weird to me. still get paid on my ante bet. so i walk out up 300. Get dressed, head out to PURE in caesars, absolutely amazing club. Swore I saw Jenna Jameson there. Get drunk, head back to the wynn w/ 7 other friends, walkin through the casino, and run into to smokin
  2. still running cold, misplayed a hand, raised w/ 65suited on button, 4 caller, 742 rainbow flop, i only bet 1/3 of the pot, should pot it. Q on the turn, guy moves in on me. fold.
  3. you can find me on there running cold.
  4. Most tournaments follow a set of rules or guidlines outlined by the TDA or Tournament Directors Association. As for this ruling, if the cards are turned face up and then the player turns them back face down and throws them in the muck, then he is still eligible to win the pot. Even if he shows the whole table what he had, but the dealer and see and the cameras can't verify, and he mucks his hand, as soon as those cards touch the muck, they are dead. Muck= black hole. even if you are 100% sure the top 2 cards are your cards, the muck kills a non exposed hand. Dealers however cannot kill an expo
  5. A string bet is when the betting is not done in one motion. If a player puts enough chips to call out, then reaches back into the stack w/ out saying anything, that's a string bet. If he says raise, and puts enough chips out to call, the raise amount is still open. Or if your a fish and say "i call 6 and raise 12 more" that's a string raise, what is it, a call of 6 or a bet of 18? (rhetorical) Dealers don't usually enforce it unless a player catches it and voices it. As a tip, only call string raise on a player when it can benefit you. Good point about clarifying verbal bets too. That phrase i
  6. Viejas games at night are great. The NLHE games are deepstacked, meaning 2-5 nl max buy in 200x the BB or $1000, w/ the 1-3 nl max buy in is 300, or 100x the BB. This allows for better action and the ability to make more moves. The Aces tournament is designed incredibly well. Sycuan's poker room is being investigated by their gaming commission and the road to barona is horrible. I've had bad experiences at the Lady and Palomar, Ocean's is pretty nice, but I had a bad experience with a dealer not knowing the rules so I've pretty much played my last hands there. Pechanga is incredible, w/ over
  7. Try treasure island, i just stayed there a few weeks ago and the action was great w/ the staff friendly and they pay 2 dollars/hr. They run tourny's SNG and low limit games.
  8. No rail birds, game is held off the casino floor. Only people who have info on the game are the players, dealers and casino staff.
  9. Brian, I actually don't disagree w/ your play. First of all u stuck w/ ur read on the turn. When you found out your were wrong, you didn't panic, but carefully analyzed the situation before acting. Here's why I commend your play:Off the flop, you put him on a flush draw, hits roughly 33% of the time or 2:1 for pot odds. With 500 in the pot postflop, you bet 500. With 1000 in the pot, and costing him 500 to call, that's 2:1 for him on a flush draw. So you didn't give a discount and lay him something like 2.5:1 or 3:1, but you didn't charge a premium either and lay him 1.75 or 1.5:1, so if your
  10. I consider myself ethical, and my comment was not to imply that I will be in anyone's "pocket", it simply means that if a pleasent player needs service or chips, you go the extra mile to take care of that player because they take care of you, that's is basic business fundamentals (i.e. when a boss gives his top employee a trip). I'm not a mechanic (dealer who can do "magic" with the deck), nor do I want to be. I say thank you when I get a tip, I don't give glares when I don't get a tip. When I'm at a bad table I try to deal even more hands out so that I can make as much as possible. By any mea
  11. You said it right. We are greatful for what we get, generous or not. To add to my above post, I'm not talking about dealer/floorman collusion when asking for a decision. It's impossible to do w/ 9 witnesses at a table. In addition, yes, low limit games tend to be a lil better from my experience.
