At that time they had ads in Cardplayer Magazine, stating that you could win a seat into the WPT championship although at the time you couldn't even play for real money yet. I also think the site is butt-ugly, offers nothing new and has bugs.Daniel now challenged me, stating he'll take ANY bet that Pokermountain will be the biggest Pokersite besides Party and Stars within ONE YEAR.At the time (we were both drunk...) I declined since the logistics of such a bet didn't seem realistic...So Big D, is the bet still good?I'm willing to bet 10K (or 1BB for you...) so I can play the WSOP 2006 )Plase let me know )l8er404 Link to post Share on other sites

JackTheCat 0 Posted March 1, 2005 Share Posted March 1, 2005 As much as I love Daniel, I really did not care for Poker Mountain at all.I play at True poker which has the best real life graphics by far and I really like playing at Full Titlt poker which has great cartoon characters that can change their expressions, their seat around the table, and Tilt's bonus points and full tilt gear are really great.If you want, I would take a piece of that bet, as I do not think Daniel's site will outdo all the others. I was watching DN play @ PM one night and told him he needed to get them to change all the blue. Of course everybody else then started saying how much they love the blue. Ha! Too bad my gf dropped by to surprise me BOTH afternoons(don't think she likes poker afterall). 15min blinds are manageable. More tourneys like these will definitely bring people in. mrnuts 0 Posted March 1, 2005 Share Posted March 1, 2005 Poker mountain has many bugs it needs to work out but with the money added to tournies and the GREAT structure i think the site will be one of the best for multi table tournies once they get enough people and the bugs fixed. Take for instance last night they had a 1$ buy in and capped the players at 100. When they chopped 4 way the winner ended up with like 190$ and other 3 around 90$. I dont play much online but if poker mountain can work out the kinks then i will definitely put some money in just to play the mtt's as its the best structure out there thanks to daniel im sure as we all know how he loves his tourney structures. Jen Harman was on the other night having a Q&A at a 2/4 table and she raked (as well as me) for a good solid hour... i told her i would prop her everytime she wanted to play razz as long as i could sit in.... players at Full Tilt will sit and play anything if a pro is seated.... whether they have a clue or not...Good Times Good Times Link to post Share on other sites

But at the moment its just not up to speed in terms of many of its aspects.However, you dont give up on a child because it gets poor grades or has a few bumps and scrapes. And afterall this is 'Daniels Baby' So he is bound to be proud because he has put his name to it.I am sure that it will grow with time. And I must say that the support staff are excellent. And if the staff are that good and committed to the task of making Poker Mountain a great site then im sure it will turn out fine.As for the bet then 12 months could be rather interesting, but at this stage looks a tall order. There are many sites around that can be named. But the tag of Poker Mountain being the friendliest site around may it just win people over in a long run.Community values may make it an excellent place if all the idiots that lurk many on-line rooms are kept in check.I for one will give it a go.
