P5's Thread: Daniel Victim Of Collusion/multiaccounting?

Recommended Posts

That's what happens when you can play on Hollywood, poker room and fcp at the same time from different screennames.
Actually the software won't allow 2 players from the same IP and some other shared information to play in the same cash game so the fact that there is a Network doesn't make it easier to collude in this way.

Well they better enjoy it while it lasts. Cheating in online poker is giving the anti-online gaming movement plenty of fodder to make them appear just in their cause. Hopefully, the gaming sites will realize that having a less than aggressive attitude toward cheaters could eventually prove to be their undoing, much as the B&M casinos did years ago. Furthermore, they need to put aside some proprietary interests and share cheater data amongst themselves, much as vegas casinos did with the imfamous "black book." Doing so will only benefit online poker in general.

This kind of stuff scares the crap out of me. Poker stars censors someone for saying "rigged", but what are they doing to stop collusion. Daniel Got hit at his own site... hello ironic twist.Does anyone know what JJProdigy and ZeeJustin did or where accused of?

Just read a post on ZeeJustin on 2+2. Basically p stars doesnt activly seek out cheaters, they only investigate if someone reports fear of collusion or someone using multiple accounts. It doesnt effect their rake so why would they care.

It does affect their rake. People do not play at sites where they think the players are cheating them.Unfortunately, it would be enourmously expensive for pokerstars or any other site to actively look for cheaters, so it is an impossibility.

I cant see why its impossible for them to see that someone is playing from the same computer/IP address. You cannot open multiple accounts on the same computer on PokerStars so obviously they are capable of identifying one computer from the next.

If any of you has an in-depth knowledge of writing code, has plenty of time on their hands, and wants to be filthy rich, get cracking on a program for sites to identify multi-account cheaters etc. The sites are gonna have to do something in the near future to address this, so get busy crackers, hackers, and geeks...oh, I only want 5% of the gross for acting as your inspiriation B)
