CobaltBlue 662
FCP .50/.50 PLO (7-handed)Cobalt $40SB $47Cobalt is Button w/ A 4 6 3 . It's a crappy hand, but I've got position and looking to hit a small straight. SB likes to raise pre-flop frequently regardless of position. Seems to be a donk.Pre-flop:UTG callsFlop ($16): A 5 K (5 players)SB checks, BB checks, MP2 checks, CO checks, Cobalt checksTurn ($16): 2 (5 players)SB checks, BB checks, MP2 checks, CO bets $2River ($91): K (2 players)Final Pot: $91Pre-flop is a little light, but I felt like I was getting odds. With regard to the turn, too low of stakes to try for the dry-ace bluff? Figured with the wheel as back-up, it might be okay.
Vman96 0
Preflop is very light. You should only play this if you think you can outplay the table. I play similar limits at prima and have experimented with the dry-ace bluff a bit...has failed so far. Not even sure if i like the $12 call after he pushes....he probably has a weak flush here and you are drawing dead...he would be stupid to push you in without a flush (he probably has J high flush or something). Hopefully, by some miracle you won this hand.
greatwhite 0
If the SB raises preflop all of the time I'm not calling here. However, if they don't I am, because I like to take flops. However, I think I would bet the flop. You have alot of key cards.
CobaltBlue 662
Well, he doesn't raise "all the time"...just a lot more frequently than anyone else. I'd say something like 10% of hands pre-flop.white, I did consider that. Our draw is rather weak, but we might be able to represent a bigger one.Vman, miracles happen. He pushed the turn with A2Qx (no flush).
Rocketwadster 0
On the 0.25/0.25 FCP PLO tables, I've tried the naked-ace bluff many times, failing every time to king-high flushes down to ten-high flushes (yes, ten high flushes!!!). I don't think the play would be very different one level above what i have been playing, so I think you have 0 fold equity there to a non-nut flush draw. 8)
CobaltBlue 662
I think that it might've actually worked this time. There's a possibility that we got CO to fold a weak flush.
yeffy 0
With a good set-up and the right opponent the naked-ace bluff can work. I've had success with it on the .25-.50 and .50-1.00 games on stars. But it had always been set up by my selling the nuts a few times at the table prior to trying it. What I am amazed at is when a guy raises or reraises you on the river when he clearly can't have the nuts, I just think to myself how nice it will be when he raises my nuts later. hmmm did that come out sounding right? JacKingOff_suit 0
Stealing/bluffing the call stations at any levels if you didn't give them the impression of a rock is a stupid crime.I don't mind the preflop calling btw.
