jeff_536 3
Hmmm..but what are some of the options? The first Canadian Poker Camp? that would be cool. plus he could do a draw or something at the event and give away an entry or two to the FCPers in attendance.Announcing that he's lending his name (and maybe presence) to some kind of Canadian poker tour? How about hosting a weekly poker show on one of the sports networks..or a weekly poker tip..something like that on The Score?Any other serious guesses? macphec 0
Moncton New Brunswick has a really good card room, for Canada that is.$1/2 NL and $2/4 NL, lots of tournaments and starting soon Omaha and 7 card Stud. However in general i have to agree that Poker in Canada is kinda blah, i mean did anyone watch the degree poker challenge !!Is this at Shakers? BadBeatBou 0
Living in Québec, I know the Provincial Government, as always, is missing the boat here with Poker. They are way too slow to adapt the Law. The Casino de Montréal is moving in few months/years, there are rumors about getting a poker room. I just cannot imagine the wait for a seat...So many people are now playing poker in Québec, it's getting absurd. If you speak French, here is a great website and a great community to meet players and get infos about tournaments www.princepoker.com
WolfRiver 0
Salut!Being also from Quebec, it is real hard to play poker here...Tournament poker may start to get better organised next year though... angler 0
I live on the west coast, and it does suck. Fortunately, I am 5 minutes from the border and there are lots of Casino's in WA. The Canadian events on TV were very painfull to watch, I managed to last 10 minutes.
goosh 0
I live in NL and there closest casino to me is a 500$ plane trip away in halifax. Fortunately almost everynight theres a .50/1 NL and 1/2 NL game spread downstairs at a local strip club. And theres another nightly 1/2 game going on at a shady shady pool hall. These games are absolutely filled with donkeys so theres lots of money to be made there.Best part of playing poker in Canada is that lottery winnings/gambling winnings are untaxable. Only the interest is taxable so its good times!
