GaelicGrindFRC 0
I never show ! (LMAO) Still got my free hat ! Yippy !
Incubus77546 0
Haha congrats! I've never made a Royal Flush yet but I have made a really high Straight Flush. 7 to Jack of Clubs. What site were you on that gave you a free hat for a Royal Flush?PS - I would've shown my Royal Flush too!
GaelicGrindFRC 0
True Poker . Yes the hat deal is nice , nothing like a Foxwoods Poker Room jacket though . Maybe sometime the poker Gods will see fit to bless me again .
ChaoPlayaz 0
Both of my royal flushes have been with J T so its kinda obvious why thats one of my favorite hands...btw thats not THE NUTS... you would have to have it in spades for it to be THE NUTS! :lol:congrats on your first
GaelicGrindFRC 0
Didn't think suits ranked higher ! Oh, well ! These NUTZ are fine , or so she says ...
Wilderness 0
Yeah, the suits rank higher ... Spades, hearts, diamonds, clubs is the order from highest to lowest.
pocketburn 0
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe it's impossible to have two royal flushes on the same hand, so the suits aren't ranked, and ANY royal flush is the nuts.
copernicus 0
Maybe in bridge, but not in poker. But, as pointed out, you cant have two straight flushes (or two flushes of any rank) in different suits in hold 'em.In games where it is possible (stud, draw) suit has nothing to do with it..a Royal in spades splits with a Royal in clubs. ChaoPlayaz 0
I know that what he had was the nuts for that hand... but spades rank highest out of any of the suits, so THE NUTS in poker would be a royal in spades.

wrto4556 0
I think he was joking about it not being the nuts. But suites do matter in games like....stud. Where they have a bring in from the lowest card. If there is two deuces out there, the one of the lowest suit brings it in. its in alphebetical order, c-d-h-s, lowest to highest.BTW, awesome on the royal! I want one, too. Highest straight-flush i've gotten is a King high. What a tease.
copernicus 0
for determining the dealer for the first hand (if two A's dealt, the higher suited A is the dealer). I dont know of any game where showdown rankings are based on suit though...and I dont think he was kidding.
wrto4556 0
...reading back...it doesn't look like he was kidding. :? Gonna have a hard time convincing the dealer that spades beat hearts.
Incubus77546 0
Suit only determines order of play... not which hand is better when there is a tie! :?
ChaoPlayaz 0
ok sorry I got this started guys... it was actually a joke. Kind of an inside joke between me and some of my friends, got started a long time ago (dont really remember how)heh and yes I know that the suits are just used for determining who starts with the button and that kind of stuff and not for hand rankings
