My buddies still give me hard time and I deserve it...I still can't believe I did it....I have A 4 suited in small blind...I raised....big blind calls... one caller.....flop is 4 K 8 rainbow....I bet out my friend goes all-in....I stand up and say I was just screwing around but I believe you hit your king...I fold....My friend shows KQ....I show My A4...just out of courtesy...but I actually didn't have A4....I had Pocket AA!!! I completely misead my hand.
What's funnier than the fact that you confused your AA for A4 is the fact that you said that it was A4 suited.

Mine is very similar. Those focking super index cards some casinos use... anyway...I hold AA(I thought) guy who think is donk holds AJ. He is early pos am one off button at turningstones 20-40 table. He bumps it I three bet he calls. Flop JJA WOO HOO I thought. He bets! I 2 bet he 3 bets I cap... we had two other callers in there too. Same all the way to the river until its just me and him... we are 7 bets into our war when I get this sinking feeling... I look at my cards again... A4.... one of the focking aces turned into a focking 4!!! I couldn't believe it. All the time I thought I had him by the balls. I had to leave out of pure embarassment after donking off nearly 20BB on that misread.Justin

Ultimate donkey move by me. I'm playing in my first tourney at the plaza in the big blind. I'm in seat 10 right next to this fat ass dealer so I can't see what's going on in seat 1 and seat 2. I see someone throw out what would be enough for a raise so it gets around to me and I fold. I am then informed that I could have checked the option. Apparently 2 people called at around the same time but since all I could see were the chips it looked like a raise.

had a similar problem with super index cards at a home game tournament. I was in the big blind one player raised before it got to me and i looked down at A K , and i was getting short stacked so i pushed, he called instantly with A J and i turned K 4 doh!!! then the flop comes J, 8,4 turn 4 river 3 and I sucked out. felt a little embarassed on that one though.

most recent one i can think of - HORSE tourny on full tilt, we're playing razz, its 6th street and i have an 8 perfect against my opponent's board of 10 J K. i bet, he raises, i reraise, he calls. on the river i bet and he calls. as you hopefully have figured out, he thought we were playing stud and he'd made a broadway straight. the only reason both 6th and 7th werent capped is because my board had 3 clubs and he thought i had a flush. at least once every HORSE tournament, i play an opponent that doesn't know what game we're playing. PS - Actuary is still a pathetic loser. good thing u went back to the calculator. it suits u better

i was playing 10/20 blind NL at Commerce. I got QQ in the BB, cutoff raises to 80, i make it 300 then he goes all in and i call. of course he has AA and i flush 800 down the drain. good thing i have him covered LOL. NEXT HAND in the small blind i have AA and reraise all in from the SB all in for like 360 after 5 limpers and get 2 CALLERS! when all is said & done the is a 4 card straight on the board and both of the others CHOP the pot....UGGHHWHAT A DONKEY FOR CALLING THE ALL IN WITH QQ!! never again!

When my wife was watching me play a NL hand online (The first time she ever watched) I had 10 10 and raised pf. One caller. Flop came J J X (2 spades)I bet the pot. He calls. At this point I brag about how I "know" he's on a flush draw.Turn comes a offsuit rag.Same betting sequence.River is another rag and opponent goes all in. Now I laugh and tell my wife "This guy is just bluffing because he missed his flush draw. I see it all the time. What a donkey!!"I call and he turns over quads.
