is it just me, or is it weird that everyone here is sweating poker for no money?id like to see DN in lights, but that about it. i got other fish to fry when it comes to poker. fish with money. no offense DN, this is prorbably win-win for you.

The price of the game isnt how much it costs, its the opportunity cost of lost earnings while not playing for real money.I dont have as much time as id like to play for real money, so i dont see myself wanting to play this.With all due respect to DN, i mean id have this viewpoint no matter who was helping with it.Yes it would be fun to play against the big players of the modern game, but id rather keep building that roll and hopefully get to play in a few big tournaments one day.Id like to hear from those who are intending to buy the game and why. For losing players or even players, i think its a great idea. But for winning players i simply dont see why id want to buy it. Yes you can say, well whatever i do with my day it is costing me my hourly rate. say i go down the pub for 4 hours then it costs me about $160, but i dont mind if it keeps me balanced and happy. But as for my 'poker time' id rather be winning the bucks online than playing a poker game.

For them , they get a chance to play , to recognize faces they see from TV , and to maybe learn a thing or two in the process. What's wrong with that?

There's nothing wrong with teens playing this video game... at least in my own personal view of right and wrong I don't think there is. But I don't think that was the OP's or John's point. I agree with the poster who said that for play money players or those who lose money playing online, this will be a nice alternative, but I probably won't buy it just because I don't see how it's +EV for me.... I play my xbox when I need a break from poker, I don't need to play poker on xbox when I'm taking a break from playing poker online. But I don't know, maybe it would be a nice change of pace if I were on an extended downswing or something. And I'm not telling people not to buy it, hell, it looks cool enough that I'm tempted to buy it in spite of what I just said; I just don't understand people acting appalled when somebody makes a valid point that in any way appears to contradict what DN would want you to think... Oh well. Have a nice morning.

I agree with the OP and think John kane makes a valid argument. I cant imagine many people really blasting this game when they can log on, bring their A game and make a couple of hundred bucks. Also, as Phil D said, I use my Xbox as an alternative to poker, something to take my mind off it completely after a bad beat or a losing session. I also am beginning to find it increasingly disheartening how often someone makes a valid post and one of the old school, 3K plus posters comes and flames for absolutely no reason. its not even that people are disagreeing with DN. Its almost some kind of ego trip.

I'm buying the game because I'm taking Daniel's word for it that the AI is really, really good. And if that is true, and it can help me improve my game while at the same time giving me a realistic sense of playing with top pros, then I'm there. This is because I have no desire to grind out money online, and prefer to play live tourneys.I'm also hoping that since Daniel's name is all over this thing, he'll set up freeroll tourneys on XBox live or something like that. Not sure he'll be able to do much with the underage crowd involved, but maybe they can come up with something. I'd like to play against Daniel sometime, and I'm sure he'll be doing promos to get this thing going.

I plan on buying this game for my PS2. yes you can play online with cash or even play money, but it will be nice to have a good solid poker game that I can just sit down and play with out going online or going to the casino, the AI also looks to be strong and will learn from your playing, online play is good, but there are also a lot of fish weather it be on play or cash games, most of my poker playing I play is at a casino here in Michigan, once in awhile I will play online, but its just not the same as at a real table seeing the person, the play of the game is much different then online, so having DN stacked game looks to be something that no other poker game will do, help improve your game buy learning from some of the stuff that will be on the game… and watch how he would play some hands etc.. I also play a lot of home games..So stacked will be a good game looking forward to even have my copy pre-ordered,

I can't believe you guys are able to come up with stuff like this. Hopefully one day I will be able to conquer the art of having an imagination *dreaming* I suck at life

I'm going to buy this because it can improve my game. Right now I'm building a roll, because being a pro playing 3/6 or 5/10 just won't make you enough money to live on. Hopefully Stacked will show me what I'm doing wrong, and I'll learn to change gears better.
