Welcome to three days ago....http://fullcontactpoker.com/poker-forums/v...0952&highlight=Looks like we are staying at Luxor, I plan on playing at MGM, Alladdin, Ballys and a few others. Will check out the Wynn and Bellagio as well.
The first ones you mentioned are the last ones you should got to. Does Bally's even have a card room? I heard MGM is ok, but stick to Wynn, Bellagio and Mirage. Maybe Mandalay Bay.

If you are looking to play poker and keep your girl happy you should stay at Mirage. They have a great poker room for you, and the pool is fantastic (read..No Snot Assed Kids) and it is next door to a decent shopping mall for your girl. I have also stayed at Mandalay, I liked the poker room but the rat kids in the pool really ruined the experience. It was like being at Disney. There was actually a lady in the hot tob that had her diaper clad kid soaking with her, totally unsanitary. As far as shows go: If you can swing the $100 see O at the Bellagio or if you have an open mind and are not offended easily try Zumantiy at NY NY it is absolute riot. Stay away from Blue Man, it is totaly lame.Have a great time.

my favorite place to stay in vegas is ballys. it's got a great location, nice gaming atmosphere (poker room is okay, my biggest gripe is that it's not separate from the casino/smoke...but the action is soft), and not too crowded. rooms are very nice. however, i usually get a casino rate (cheaper) because my father has business associates there. i've stayed at excalibur, it's nothing special. didn't play cards there though. you might also want to consider the orleans - it's off the strip, but there is a shuttle that takes you right outside barbary coast (i think it runs until 12am or something, can't remember exactly). certainly affordable, and a massive poker room (although not the softest seats in vegas by far, lots of locals play there).

When are you going? Room rates very greatly depending on the date, with Friday and Saturday night much, much higher. Post your dates--I have alot of promtion codes that you can use that can get you a good rate.On another note--I'm new to the board, as far as a poster, but have been reading it for a while. I really enjoy everyones comments. I hope to contribute more in the future.

Sorry to rehash this, but I just saw your post. I'm staying on 9/21 and 9/22, both of which are weekdays. A few guys were nice enough to suggest some good rates, but anything else you could add to the mix would be much appreciated.Welcome to the forum, by the way.
