Have you been watching Daniel's play? Since you're a cash game specialist, I am curious to hear your opinion on his play.
I haven't been watching, but I don't play nearly enough NL to have an interesting opinion anyway. Daniel is leaps and bounds ahead of me at that game and probably always will be. If he gets some LHE hands in, I'd love to get discussion going, though.

11 February 2011, 1:14 amRealKidPoker: Match was SUPER close! I won $194 and Eugene lost $626. I'd hardly call that a win. Feel great about my HU game online now.

As for an interesting hand:Eugene: $1688Me: $3302I was on the button and raised to 20 with 8-10 of hearts, he called. The flop was J-9-4 two clubs he checked, I bet 20, he raised to 80.Turn 6 spades he bet 150 I called. River 8 he bet 400 leaving him 1048 behind...Preflop: Seems standard to me. I'm a min raiser HU.Flop: I'd been c-betting a lot and flopped an open ended straight draw, so I don't mind bloating the pot a little bit since we are deep enough where I can call a raise and continue to the river. Also, Eugene has been very active on the flop, either raising or calling me 75% of the time so I thought there was also a chance I could win the pot with a bet on the turn or river (or turn and river) if I miss.Turn: He bets 150 and based on previous history it feels like a value bet to me as opposed to him pushing through with a draw or an airball. I thought raising here would be spewy since it's not going to get him off a hand often enough, and if he had a draw he probably wouldn't fold either which would put me in a tough spot on the river as to whether or not I should continue with the bluff if I miss.River: He bets 400 which convinces me its a value bet and not a bluff based on previous bet sizing in the same situation. While the river pairs me, I don't see how I can really justify a call here. However, based on the way I played the hand to this point, I think me representing Q-10 is VERY believable so I move all in, fully expecting him to fold a hand as strong as top two. He knows based on previous history that I'm never raising with two weaker pair for value on that river, so my hand is Q-10, 10c 7c or nothing. Since I called a check-raise on the flop, and a turn bet, air isn't in my range ever. My raise on the river also rules out a single Jack or even a 9 really. So he has to put me on turning 8-10 into a bluff, or spazzing out with a missed flush draw.I know Eugene is good enough to fold here in a spot where I'm rarely going to be bluffing, so I went all in... I talked to him about this hand after the match, and he, in fact, did have top two

  • 4 weeks later...

Daniel's 2 table session with "K_O_S_T_Y_A" just finished. After busting "K_O_S_T_Y_A" at one table, "Marccus85" sat in and played Daniel for the remainder of the session (the time it took Daniel to bust "K_O_S_T_Y_A" at the second table), which wasn't too long. 781 hands played, with Daniel #Winning 95K.

Sorry for the delay. Unsure of the exact number of hands played, around about 1,000 - but Daniel reported a loss of a bit over 100K.
Bob I think someone is trying to take your job. Better ban him before it's too late.
