BB would be given warning for saying what he did about checking down but not a dead hand.
mrpaddyx 13
In tournament play its a fairly standard play for two or more bigger stacks to check it down to the river to eliminate a short stack. I don't see it making much sense in a cash game though, unless the short stack is a particularly dangerous player who is unlikely to reload. Since there is no-one else involved in the hand I don't think the hand should be declared dead, its just a silly thing to say out loud at it basically pinpoints the strengh of your hand. mtdesmoines 3
Shouldn't be doing this in cash game or tourney. The collusion in tourneys is kind of an unspoken strat that players use. One player should never ask another for a checkdown and when they do, I usually leave because it's hard to beat team play.
Kasner 0
Wouldn't make sense if this was a cash game
BaseJester 1
Wouldn't make sense if this was a cash gameDoes the all-in player benefit if one of the deep stacks folds? Of course he does. Poker is a zero-sum game, so he benefits at the expense one of the deep stacks. Before the deep stacks know which of them will benefit, they can protect their equities in the main pot by agreeing to not bet. It makes sense, but it's against the rules.
