1-2 Live No Limit, Two Pair Facing Turn Shove

Recommended Posts

So we're to assume he drew to the flush and now wants us to fold so he doesn't get paid? Or are we to assume he played 25o into a raise? He doesn't have a two pair hand -- at best one pair of aces with a 5h redraw. He doesn't have a set (we know that now). I just don't understand the thinking that goes he wants us to fold when he holds a made hand.He wants us to fold because we tanked and that means we can prob beat him.
Again, what makes you think he wants us to fold? Flushes/straights/sets/two pair are leading this turn because they know we are likely to check behind most of our made hands that aren't flushes, and they also want Hero to pay now in case Hero has a weaker made hand but a higher redraw. You can't even eliminate 52o from his range because Hero's open was so weak. With that many callers in between, and the Villain being in the blinds and only needing to call $4 more, live villains will see a flop with ATC here.Yes, now that we've seen the :club: we know he doesn't have a set or two pair. But do you really think he is shoving as a semibluff with a naked 5 high flush draw? I'm not going to assume that without history. The fact that he showed you a weak card means he wants you to CALL, not fold. If he did have Ax 5h and was going to show a card, he probably would've shown the Ace.

I would show the 5h instead. Showing the ace elminates having the nuts or even a flush...which would be a HUGE factor in making a decesion. I really do think if I have only the 5h, but no flush/straight, and there is that much talking going on, and villain is asking to see a card, I show that card instead.IMO, when villian says he'll show both if hero folds, it seems more like a bluff. I think $1/2 players like to show their bluffs a lot more than higher stakes.....but then again...
