DanielNegreanu 141
Your lack of farm callups is a weakness too. Not really, they wouldn't make any of my playoff lineups anyway.
Zach6668 513
My reject cup lineup is going to be about 75% farm call ups, lol.

digitalmonkey 929
Not really, they wouldn't make any of my playoff lineups anyway. Well, that would depend on who was available to call up.
Zach6668 513
Updated Look at a Deep Team. Depth chart with point per game average along side: 1. Corey Perry, ANA. .814 2. Bobby Ryan, OTT. .662 3. Anze Kopitar, LA. .588 4. Kyle Okposo, NYI. .574 5. Henrik Sedin, VAN. .571 6. Jason Pominville, MIN. .543 7. T.J. Oshie, STL. .500 8. Jussi Jokinen, PIT. .441 9. Matt Stajan, CAL. .420 10. Derek Stepan, NYR. .412 11. Alexander Semin, CAR. .273 12. Ryan Malone, TB. .261 13. Maxime Talbot, COL. .161 14. Tomas Kopecky, FLA. .155 15. Steve Ott, BUF. .152 1. Dan Boyle, SJ. .442 2. Brent Seabrook, CHI. .361 3. Kris Russell, CAL. .303 4. Marek Zidlicky, NJ. .273 5. Nick Leddy, CHI. .250 6. Jamie McBain, BUF. .190 7. Alex Goligoski, DAL. .183 8. Jake Gardiner, TOR. .182 9. Chris Phillips, OTT. .182 TAMPA BAY 2.39 NY RANGERS 2.68 CHICAGO 2.72 This is easily one of the best teams in the AHL and when the goaltending comes around, look out! In case you or anyone was wondering, I actually ran these numbers before, and did them again today to kind of show what an average team would have in terms of players points per game. This is based on current stats, excluding anyone with fewer than 11 games played. (Lowest viable is based on 14 forwards and 9 defense.) No. 1 Forward: 0.700 to 1.100 Top 3 Forward: >0.525 Top 6 Forward: >0.415 Top 9 Forward: >0.315 Top 12 Forward: >0.250 Lowest Viable Forward: >0.175 No. 1 Defense: 0.350 to 0.575 Top 2 Defense: >0.275 Top 4 Defense: >0.185 Top 8 Defense: >0.100 Lowest Viable Defense: >0.075 If you've got more players above those thresholds, especially higher in the ranges, you're doing very well. So, based on that, the CheapThieves have one player who falls into a #1 forward tier, about the mid point, probably closer to the higher end, since the players are not evenly distributed within the range. You've got FIVE players who would qualify as top 3 forwards on an average team. Three more who would be in the top 6. So, that said, you've got nine forwards would would be top 6 players on the average team. Two #1 defensemen, plus another #2, and a near #2 (0.273), two more top 4 guys, plus another one who is very close (0.183), meaning you've basically got 7 guys who would be in the top 4 on an average team. Basically, my analysis proves what you already know. Your team is built to be an above average team. If you take this frame work, you can compare it to other teams and see how they stack up, etc. Certainly looks like a team that can compete for a title.
Zach6668 513
This doesn't take into account the fact that certain viable players are on farm teams, but given the current rules with Toews call-ups, and teams in general that want to be competitive, rather than tank, it won't have much effect. It would just adjust the average numbers down slightly.
DanielNegreanu 141
Team riding a 7 game win streak and up next is Winning Combination. Still 11 points back of Canadian Gothic for the division crown, but a pretty good bet to be a top 3 seed in the conference with a 6 point cushion over the Red Ravens. Will likely have a first round matchup against Winning Combination or the Mustangs, then it's Canadian Gothic up next, Magically Delicious in the conference final, and then who ever comes out of the other end. Wide open over there.

DanielNegreanu 141
Solid lineup for first game of the next round, but a tough decision to start Bobby Ryan over Alexander Semin: Game #1 Corey Perry Kyle Okposo Anze Kopitar T.J. DanielNegreanu 141
Goal and assist from Stepan on the bench and a goal and 3 assists from Stajan on the bench. Realistically I could have made an argument only for Stepan and that still wouldn't have been enough. Down 3-2 here is game #6 as of now: Corey Perry (ANA) A Kyle Okposo (NYI) T.J. Oshie (STL) Jason Pominville (MIN) G Jussi Jokinen (PIT) Henrik Sedin (VAN) Defense Marek Zidlicky (NJD) A Brent Seabrook (CHI) Nick Leddy (CHI) Jake Gardiner (TOR) A Goalies Goalies-B Chicago -1 Ryan Johansen (CBJ) James Neal (PIT) Jaromir Jagr (NJD) Matt Moulson (MIN) Anders Lee (NYI) Lee Stempniak (PIT) Defense Shea Weber (NSH) Dion Phaneuf (TOR) Brendan Smith (DET) Tom Gilbert (FLO) Goalies Goalies-A Chicago -1 Cheap Thieves 1.5 Canadian Gothic -

DanielNegreanu 141
Bad news for game 7. Raffi Torres was already hurt and now add Bobby Ryan to that list. Henrik Sedin also hurt yesterday. Will have to get super lucky to win game #7. Two of the bodies in my lineup are not playing and I have no replacement: Anze Kopitar (LAK) Derek Stepan (NYR) Matt Stajan (CGY) Ryan Malone (TBL) Bobby Ryan (OTT) Raffi Torres (SJS) Defense Alex Goligoski (DAL) Dan Boyle (SJS) Kris Russell (CGY) Chris Phillips (OTT) Goalies Goalies-B NY Rangers Joe Pavelski (SJS) Steven Stamkos (TBL) Blake Wheeler (WPJ) Matt Read (PHI) Alexander Killorn (TBL) Rene Bourque (MTL) Defense P.K. DanielNegreanu 141
Hello AHL the Cheap Thieves offer on night one of competition- a statement game: Corey Perry (ANA) GGG Jason Pominville (MIN) GA Bobby Ryan (OTT) T.J. Oshie (STL) Jussi Jokinen (FLO) Derek Roy (NSH) A Defense Marek Zidlicky (NJD) AA Brent Seabrook (CHI) A Alex Goligoski (DAL) Kris Russell (CGY) Goalies Goalies-B Tampa Bay -1 Overtime Player Corey Perry (ANA) The stories of the Cheap Thieves demise are premature and offensive. Have you all heard of Corey Perry? Yes he is good and he is on pace for a 246 goal season which I believe would break some records. See you in the playoffs bitches... DanielNegreanu 141
Damon Severson will get his first chance to put on a Cheap Thieves jersey Thursday night against the Canadian Gothic. We like what we see from this 20 year old, he is going to be a beauty. Keys to winning the game: 1) A better effort from NYR defensively, they have been brutal so far willy Minnesota and Tampa Bay have both been incredible 2) Bobby Ryan, He is the main man in Ottawa and while he will get more time, he will also be checked hard vs opponents best D units 3) Containing P.K. Subban. Sure Pavelski is the main threat, but its Subban that leads the depleted Gothic D. Cheap Thieves Forwards Anze Kopitar (LAK) Kyle Okposo (NYI) Bobby Ryan (OTT) Alexander Semin (CAR) T.J.
