Best Site To Qualify For The 2009 Wsop

Recommended Posts

Love to here some ideas. Right now I play on Stars and it seems they are the last site to get the Sats. running.thanks
as a native of Puyallup, WA i am utterly disappointed in your use of "here" instead of "hear". i am curious to find out when stars will be running wsop satellites though. anybody know?

I only play on Stars and Tilt, but Stars is better for WSOP satties because of the steps in my opinion. It's the only opportunity for people like me who don't have 5-7 hours to devote to MTT satties on a regular basis.

Tilt has a better incentive to sattie through them. FullTilt incentives (other than tournament entry + expenses):If you make it to the WSOP ME final table, you receive:1) $50k bonus for making the final table2) $100k bonus for finishing 2nd or 3rd3) $10,000,000 bonus for winning the ME event, paid out in $1M installments over a 10-year periodPokerStars incentives (other then tournament entry + expenses):Winning a satellite seat gives you:1) 100,000 VPP points and an automatic boost to supernova status2) Entry into a $1M freeroll tournament3) Free shuttle bus ride between the Palms casino and the Rio during the WSOPAdded incentives for making the final table of the WSOP ME:1) Airfare + hotel for the November event2) $1,000,000 paid as $500K in live tournament buyins, $100K in online PS tournament buy-ins and $400K cash

The only thing on tilt > stars is the $10m if you win, and it includes a contract to rep the site for the 10 year period. As far as wsop online satties go, stars>>>>all.

Am I the only one who gets nowhere in steps? I'm a halfway decent lowlimit SnG player (admittedly not usually turbos). But in step 1s I'm a consistent loser. I mean I have made it up to step 3 or 4 before, but I feel like I run really bad in these.Life beat is that my wife, who's typically way too timid in tourneys made it to the last step last year and cashed for $1k.

I hear ya. Last year I made it to step 2, stayed there for a bit, dropped back to step 1, busted, and then couldn't make it past step 1 again. So far this year I'm 0/1...

What are the changes? This is my first year trying to play steps
Last year Step 6 was a 9-man SNG that paid 5 places (If I remember right). First was seat + $2K, $1500 for 2nd-3rd, $1K for 4th and $500 for 5th.This year Step 6 is either a 6-man (1 seat only) or 12-man (2 seats) SNG.Edit: That doesn't add up to 18K, but bottom line is there was some decent $$ for making it to Step 6 and just outlasting a couple of people, esp if you invested only $7.

I know I could never duplicate it, but I made it to Step 6 last year on one bullet and lost HU...most disappointing $1500 I'll ever win.

QFT
FWIW, I did bubble Steps 4 & 5 and had to play those twice...I also dumped about $200 into the Steps after the close call and never even sniffed Step 4.
