simo_8ball 0
Raise the flop. I really see no reason to slowplay here, just get the money in. Don't let them draw cheaply. As played, 100% ship it in. Flat calling makes no sense because he isn't folding the flop after putting in $300, and you're never folding on any turn card.

I cant stop laughing at your sig. I didnt know that kind of throw in was even legal.so if he has top set, I just take my medicine? I guess I am wondering when/if you should fold sets in omaha......maybe if the board was much more coordinated? My PLO is still pretty weak I was just enjoying getting to play it in a live setting for once. fwiw, the Gran Casino Barcelona was really really nice. Not huge, but solid poker room, good Blackjack dealers, and even one lone craps table in the corner. Plus, they have a benihana-style restaurant which was incredibly good.since I suppose it does not hurt (since I am not mentioning ultimate results).....I did end up tanking for a minute or so and then shoving all in. simo_8ball 0
Folding bottom set is fairly rare. Folding middle set is incredibly rare.(To clarify, this is on boards where top/middle/bottom set are the nuts/2nd nuts/3rd nuts)In this hand, the board is pretty coordinated. Hands like 44xx, QJT9, T976, 4567 etc. can check/raise, as well as just plain J8xx overplaying his hand a little.Just about the only time you should be folding a set on a non straight/flush board is if it is 3bet preflop by a tightish player and it comes Axx. jmbreslin 0
Simo is right. The only hand you're behind here is JJxx but there are several other hands that you could be up against here. You'd have a bigger problem on your hands if there were two hearts on the board, because then you'd be behind many of the straight+flush draw combo hands.
CaneBrain 95
Hand #2 (Result from hand #1----he had j1098 and bricked (3c, Ah))Hero--BB---(1575 Euros)Villain--CO---(4000 Euros)Hero dealt---KhJd10d8hTwo early limpers, CO makes it 50. I call, one EP calls.FLOP---9s7s5hEP check, Hero bets 125, CO raises to 500, EP folds, Hero???
simo_8ball 0
I 3bet preflop because I'm a 3bet monkey. You are OOP, you have 9 outs, you have no fold equity and you're facing a big raise. It's a fold. Flush draws kill straight draws. That said, I prefer a check/call on the flop, partly because of the above reason.
Naked_Cowboy 0
< also a 3 bet monkey, so i second that.

DonkSlayer 1
1st hand, nh, nice hold.2nd, leading is really really bad, precisely because if you get raised you have to fold, with the board wanting to flush away from the suits you have. C/c and evaluate turn.

C/c and evaluate turn.yeah I think this is true. I did fold the 2nd hand but I hated it. Stupid play by me. I think he probably had AA with spades.anyway, hand #3Hero---MP---(1375 Euros)Villain--Button---(2000+Euros)---raises preflop a ton, very loose.Hero dealt---Qh10d9d8sEP limp, Hero limps, Button raise to 50, EP call, Hero call.FLOP----7c6h5d(Obviously, I flopped an enormous hand, bear with me.)EP check, Hero, check, Button bets 150, EP fold, Hero???Obviously, I am not folding....but I am wondering how people play an absolute monster OOP. Do I just call? check raise half the pot? Just raise the pot? How do I proceed if the board pairs the turn? Lead out? What if I just call on the flop and the turn is a 2s (perfect brick).....do I lead out half? check again? Thanks in advance.
KoRnholio 2
Hand #3 - Out of position I just raise the flop. A straight in Omaha isn't an absolute monster, though your straight is as good as they get, with higher nut straight potential if an 8 or 9 comes off. You've gotta be worried about the board pairing, as it could give you a losing hand, or nearly as bad, allow the opponent to fold a lower straight, or fold you out with a bluff. In Hand #1 and Hand #2, I agree with pretty much everything that simo_8ball has already stated. In Hand #3, I would have raised pre-flop (pot sized). I think you're playing too passively pre-flop in all honesty. As played, since you have a strong re-draw I would just raise the pot and get it all in right away.
DonkSlayer 1
Agreed with hand 3's eval that raising the flop has the most value. I also saw this time around that we have blockers (Especially if villain has something like 9876 or 9875) to a straight, so we're really better than even against wraps.
