Then there is a flop turn and river. Bets are made on every street. Best 5 card hand wins the pot. But here is the tricky part that alot of players get confused...you MUST use 2 cards out of the 4 you are dealt. You cannot use just 1 or all 4, you have to use 2.Good luck.
