Maybe This Is One Reason Canadian Banks Aren't In Bad Shape

Recommended Posts

Through combination of a more conservative banking culture and tough banking regulators the Canadian banking sector is the most stable in the World right now since Canadian banks haven't had to write off nearly the amount of crap that other banks in the World have.Interesting that the RBC CEO is giving back this money that he is entitled to eventhough the bank is still very profitable.http://ca.news.yahoo.com/s/reuters/090202/...kofcanada_nixon

Royal Bank of Canada CEO to forgo C$5 million in pay Mon Feb 2, 12:54 PM TORONTO (Reuters) - Royal Bank of Canada's chief executive plans to forfeit nearly C$5 million ($4 million) in compensation as the country's biggest bank looks to weather the global financial crisis. It is part of his mid- and long-term compensation package at RBC.Nixon had a base salary of C$1.4 million in 2008.He received a cash bonus of C$2.4 million in December, part of his short-term incentive package and down 40 percent from the prior year. Our banking system is run by Jews. Yours isn't. They are what they are.Our booms and busts are bigger because of it. The only time you can say "Hey! Look how awesome we are!" is during bust cycles when you don't suffer as much. During the boom cycles, when everyone (who's smart) is making money hand over fist, there sits marginally relevant Canada on the sidelines lampooning America because we don't give free health care and have high gun crime.

it'll be like our own little inside joke that we can share, forever and ever.
That's what the man who touched my naughty spot when I was 3 said (right after he threatened to kill my mom and dad if I told anyone)

the best part is at least half the Canadian people who read this post will be pleasantly surprised to learn that Canada is actually "marginally relevant".also: Dear French Canadia, Feel free to not overrun North Miami Beach/Hallandale Beach every December--March with your giant minivans. There are other places you can drive to since you are too cheap to fly.Sincerely,Miami-Dade and Broward County
