Tough fold. I don't know that I can fold that.

your turn bet is goofy sized, which inspires shovels from wider ranges from short stack mogoloids.I'd call b/c **** him that's why.(I'm hitting the egg nog heavy. So there's that to consider)As played I'd call b/c that turn bet isn't getting enough info out of villian. I'd probably check and go from there, or just bet near pot and call a shove. But the half pot's akward.

Since you folded I interpret the turn decision to be a probing bet trying to find out if he has the straight, but all you did was put yourself into a tough spot. Due to the villian's stack size I would rather check call over bet fold. Checking may even get you a free river card if he has the straight and makes the mistake of not betting it.

As a general rule, I've always found bet/folding to be better than check/calling.When I bet this turn it's for value. When he shoves, I'm thinking I'm safely beat and getting nowhere near the 5:1 I'd need to call and hope to hit a boat.:club:
