I understand Avant-garde means I'm not going to see a basic dress but I think what everyone did was ridiculous with a couple exceptions of "ok" outfits.2. having the winner chosen and then allowing alterations is idiotic. the best one at the party could be the worst the next day (yes not very likely). 1. I agree that most of the dresses turned out were not particularly avant garde and only maybe 1 or 2 looked couture. Most were just awful.2. I agree again, that was a real 'what the ****' moment for me. For instance Terri took the collar off her dress and put a new one on because of feedback from Christian, but he had already judged her based on what she did, so what was the point? If I were them I wouldn't have done anything on the second day because I would know it was already decided. It was super stupid. I also thought the party judging idea was dumb because the lighting was so dim and some were like red or blue lights. How could they see the true colours of the garments? How could the see the garment as a whole in such bad lighting?3. This didn't really bother me as I felt there are a few front runners and everyone else wasn't great, so I didn't mind cutting the chaff. I didn't find it a particularly strange time to do it, I think it kinda heats up the race and renews interest because the show was starting to get a bit muggy for me. I am happy to see it narrowed down so the real competition can start.Kenley is really annoying me now, and her dresses have not thrilled me lately. I like Leanne's this week and thought she would win. Jerrell's was cute, and I think he is a good contender for the final now. So glad Terri is gone, her attitude stunk. Same with Blayne, I always knew he wasn't going to make it. Next to leave: Suede or Joe (the straight guy).

I'd like to say Kenley but I'll have to go with black dude. even though I haven't liked much of what he's done, he hasn't done anything noticeably bad. kenley has the 'I can't do anything wrong attitude' which is good in that she believes in what she's doing but bad in that the judges will probably hold that against her. plus she's been overly emotional in the past few episodes and that to me means she's more capable of doing really well or really bad.most interesting - kenley (nobody else produces stuff remotely like her), pam (a lot of her stuff is very umm I dunno 'clean'. like the skirt she did a while back (influenced by a park bench or something) and even the one on the last challenge. it just seems like she'd produce a solid show), and I guess the black chick. I just hope she won't give us a dress made of giant sleeves.I have to say that really the most interesting thing about suede is his blue hair. the third person thing is tired. he hasn't impressed me. married dude seems to be too rigid and won't give us anything interesting or different.the thing about losing terri is that she probably would've done an interesting show for the final. blayne probably would've thrown out a ton of frilly giant flowers and weird costumesedit:don't use wikipedia to find out how many more episodes are left before the finale (2 more and then the finale is a two-parter) because apparently they know who wins and loses in those episodes. Hello my friend. I think you and I are Project Runway buddies, everyone else has dropped off over the weeks.I am glad boring dad is finally gone. This outfit was like, the prime example of his mode of design: the most clichéd, bland interpretation of the challenge possible. He just doesn't understand women's wants and needs from an outfit.I loved Kenley's dress this week, it's something I would wear. I can't imagine a whole runway show from her though- you can't just put 12 dresses down the catwalk. Suede has the same problem, but I am confident he will be put out of his misery next week. I am shocked he made it this far to be honest.I still love Pam, but she dropped the ball a bit this week. I don't think she lends well to working for a client. She needs to have full creative control, and I know a whole collection from her would be varied, innovative and professional. Kohto's was nice but kinda yawn. Jerrell's was lush, and I am starting to think he is definitely in the final. I think it is between Kenley and Kohto for the 3rd spot. You're right about the browns though, he is kind of shy about bright colours and that is probably why I find his outfits quite forgettable. He needs someone to point it out to him.

Suede has got to be the next to go. That leaves us with Jerell, Kenley, Korto, and Leanne. I think any of those four has the potential to win. Kenley I think is sometimes interesting, but just too goofy and unpredictable to go all the way. Korto seems consistently solid, but perhaps getting a bit repetitive. Jerell has been coming on strong lately Leanne (Pam?) has done some really creative stuff but is maybe a bit hit or miss. A lot will depend on whether she hits or misses with the final shows.

My thoughts this week:General challenge comments: Firstly I don't get why they let them pick models and then didn't use them, that was a waste of time. Secondly I also thought this challenge was so dumb. I hate when they make them design for each other. Sure it made me laugh to see them doing their walks and acting silly on the runway, but it puts some people at clear disadvantages. It is harder to make menswear if you are a womenswear designer. On top of that adding in a genre of music means they are trying to please the 'client', communicate the genre, and show their talents and viewpoint as a designer all in 1 outfit... that is just a ridiculous thing to ask of them, and it restricts them from really showing what they can do.Kenley: I actually started to think she might go home this week. I thought her outfit was totally cliched, especially the tacky t-shirt with chains. You can go to any gothy-punk store like Hot Topic and find a t-shirt just like that. The jeans with the pattern bleached on were cool and looked well made, but that isn't enough to be a winning garment in my opinion. I would have liked to seen a modern take on the more Vivienne Westwood, late 70s punk.Suede: I didn't think he was the worst. He definitely could have done more, but I thought Jerrell looked pretty good in it. It was kind of boring though, and I think black is such an obvious choice.Jerrell: I didn't like this dress much. I liked the shape of it and it was well made, but the colours kind of looked gothic to me, and the see-throughness seemed really tacky. It's pretty sad that the judges concept of 'pop outfit' is basically 'slutty dress'. He had it easiest of everyone so it's kind of good that he didn't win.Leanne: I didn't like her outfit at all. The shirt bit was unflattering and didn't match the classy skirt at all. I think she could have taken some of the typical design elements of a country shirt and used them to make a more formal dress. It could have been really innovative but it missed the mark.I am hoping that in the next challenge they get to make something a little more typical. Whatever happened to the challenges asking them to make an evening dress for a red carpet event. Or a swimsuit. Just a swimsuit, not swimsuit for a fat woman, or a woman with no limbs, or a man. No more gimmicks. I never watch the previews for the next show, I find that it is often obvious who they are talking about when they show a snippet of criticism or praise, and I don't want any clues as to what happens.I could see any of these guys making it to the final and I wouldn't be disappointed though. I would be most excited to see Leanne's show.

I would expect that, but the adverts keep saying there are 2 more episodes until the final. Do you think they are having a final with just 2 contestants this year?

the finale is a two-parter. they might be doing the same thing as last year where all four make a collection but only three get to show (though in actuality like six designers get to show but only three are part of the finale). So this week's episode would be to determine the top two.

Happy Wednesday, my pretties...Well, we were right. All 4 get to make a collection. I think this is totally contrived, as Kenley's dress was clearly foul and she should have been sent home. I feel that they planned this all along, which is annoying. I also was shocked that Jerrell won this challenge - his dress was totally rough and raw, and am I on coke or was the neckline wayyyyyyyyyyyy too low? Her tits were barely contained, even though they had been strapped down and cinched tight. I thought my girl Leanne should have won. I also was highly dubious about the back of her garment, and I wish she had stuck more to her original sketch which had just 1 strand of lavender rather than the strand that splits under the hips. However it was something different but still very much her style, it looked like the flower, and it was well constructed. Korto's dress wasn't great, she definitely lost herself in this challenge... the queen of volume really could have used her specialty to her advantage, but what she made was flat, and as soon as I saw the lace I knew it would look dated and prom dressy. Still, the lines were nice, I liked the zig zaggy sides, and it was flattering on the model. Just wrong colours, wrong textures, and lacking in oomph.Ok it's time to call your winners. I'm sticking with Leanne (Pam) as my bet for the winner, and she is my favourite too. If she gets kicked out 4th I'll be pissed. Who do you guys expect to win? Very plain and uninteresting. I'd put Jerrell and Kenley as tied for 2nd since neither was great. Maybe a slight edge to Kenley because I would have sex with her Jerrell's seemed all over the place. Why was there red. The bust looked floral from afar which was cool but up close it seemed ghastly. I thought pam's was the winner for sure but that dark blue was awful. It was like she was "pooping fabric"Why did they even pick models for the previous challenge if they didn't use them? And then they pick again. Just weird. 1. I hated Kenleys. The scaley print fabric is super tacky, and the top half was identical to her 'foreign affair' dress - high neck, sleeveless, with a thin belt. We've seen it before. As for the bottom half, the model could hardly walk because there was no slit. The whole thing looked very Little Shop of Horrors to me.2. I thought 'pooping fabric' too. It was definitely very random and noticable, in a bad way.3. I don't think Kenley would help anyone in that situation, so I don't care that they didn't help her. It's a competition, it's her responsibility to get hers done, and it's her bad attitude that isolated her from the group anyway. I feel sorry for her because she was clearly ostracised in the group and suffering from it, but she got herself into that situation, and she could have made an effort to be nicer to them if she wanted to be treated better.

what the hell does attitude have to do with this? The show is about the clothes.Did you feel it was contrived in Season 3 when they let Michael and Jeffrey stay? I think what they did made sense since nobody did well at all. For whatever reason, this season has declined in quality quite a bit (in terms of everyone was performing well then as the season went onward everyone as a whole got worse). I think they way they're doing it is fine because if someone has a better collection then they should be showing anyway.

Dish, dish, dish, my pretties! ~*~SPOILER ALERT~*~I was surprised at the elim this week. To be honest, Kohtos wedding dress was a shocker in my opinion - overworked, frumpy, unflattering, rip off of Leanne's style, busy, scruffy and downright ugly. The bridesmaids dress looked better, before she lopped the bottom off and made it more of a cocktail dress. Jerrell's was way too overdone, and his whole collection seem a little too "opulent" as he would say. He needs to either go into costume design, or learn to compromise some of that bling. What woman wants to walk down the aisle with bejeweled bosoms? And the skirt just looked rumpled and messy, not sculpted and soft like it should look. How could he be so offhand about the bridesmaids dress, which he really just threw together without a thought, when he knew it was going to be a decider in the rest of his collection even being seen by the judges? Stupid boy.Leanne's was astounding and she has to be the favorite right now. The bridesmaids dress was sweet too, and it complemented the brides perfectly without distracting from it. With Kenley's, I thought the McQueen comment was interesting. I think this is the dress they meant:It is very similar, but I don't think she copied it. How often do we hear any of them mentioning other designers? I kind of get the impression that they don't keep up with real collections, they all seem very self-obsessed and adhered to their own 'point of view'. Jerrell's comment about how 'if you want a white t-shirt you can go to Michael Kors'... Kors is a very well respected designer, and a judge on the show, it's so ridiculous to insult him like that. I think it shows ignorance and unmerited arrogance.I am looking forward to seeing Kenley's collection the most, really because I don't actually remember what she showed Tim... Leanne's worries me a little because it's all aqua and white, and the pieces all look very samey. I think she may be criticised for lack of variety. Kohtos colours look typically bright and exciting, we'll just see if she comes up with some exciting designs, because she has left me cold in the last few challenges.

I thought it was dumb that the text voters voted Kenley purely because they didn't like her. not surprising though.from the short looks they gave us, I came to three conclusions. pam's collection looked good. korto and jerrell's collections didn't look good. kenley's collection was packed tightly onto a dress rack so we didn't really get to see it.I think it was pretty obvious that pam and kenley had the better duos and korto and jerrell's were lacking.edit: the fast reply did me in.
