pbwl11 0
I'm going to be in Albuquerque in a couple of weeks and would like to know the casinos with the best poker rooms for 1/2 NL or up to 4/8 limit. Maybe even $20-$50 buy in tourneys if time allows.I've recieved a brochure, but which is better: Inn of the Mountains, Isleta, Sandia, San Felipes or Sky city?I'd prefer a no smoking/ipod allowing/donkey filled place. Which one has the best resturants--I'm biased to Italian.....Thanks in advance for the advice!
BigDawg505 0
PBHit Sandia (1/2 NL $ 200 Max and 4/8 Limit). It is a donkfest. Isleta has a tough 2/5NL game (usually $ 10K-$15K on the table). It normally runs on Thurs/Fri/Saturday. Very tough game. Isleta has a $ 100 buy-in tourney w/1 re-buy on Friday's. Other misc tourney's around. The other casino's are a bit of a drive (1hr min). Food- Italian-Scalo in Nob Hill Med-Yanni's (a little pricey) Nob Hill Mexican- Sadie'sCheers-B-

jfgonzales 0
Sky City is around 1 hour away (they put on good boxing cards that I can never go to) but I'm pretty sure Mountains is around 3 hours away. Of course, it all depend where you're staying because San Felipe's could be around 30 minutes away. (Did they finally open a poker room)? There's also Route 66 and the Santa Ana Casino in Bernalillo that have poker rooms. Can't tell you anything about the soft games because I've only played 1 tourney at Santa Ana. But then again, I suck so I still couldn't tell you anything about the games even if I played more.Nando
GWCGWC 83
Hit Sandia (1/2 NL $ 200 Max and 4/8 Limit)Yep, go there. The games are no where near as soft as the 1/2NL in Vegas. You may want to try the 10/20 LHE 1/2kill game. It's as easy as the 4/8LHE games and you can make a lot more money. The 4/8 LO8 1/2 kill games are super soft also.
pbwl11 0
Thanks for the advice. I was kinda leaning towards the Sandia anyways. Sounds like they have good games. How far out of downtown is it?Does anyone know if they allow ipods, or will I have to listen to the whiny bad beat stories?Do they have good resturants there? I'd guess 15 min max from downtown.ipods are allowed. They have a good steak house and a decent buffet. I just eat at the poker table since I don't care about my health, I'm usually only there for a couple days and I'm a degen.
