New Poker Tec Tables In Indio

Recommended Posts

I was at the local casino Fantasy Springs Casino last night doing a New Year's Eve proposal and the poker room was announcing that they are opening their new ALL PokerTec table poker rooms tonight (Friday) with instructional lessons by hot women. The max rake on all games is $3 and they had 2 Head's Up Tables! So if you can make it to the desert, and want to have scantily clad women teach you how to use the PokerTec tables, then tonight is the night. Maybe I'll go if any other FCPers go and want to play me some head's up for bragging rights and $200?Also this is the first local casino to get the PokerTec tables, and not only did they get them, they fired the entire dealer staff and went 100% PokerTec. I am curios on how this plays out with older players etc. The games their are mostly $3/$6 and $4/$8. They had a super soft $1/$2 Nl game there before and they are claiming to spread $10/$20 limit HE which with a $3 rake would be nice. And btw I won $400 on the slot machines there after 5 hands of play money hands on the new tables. You can imagine a normal California $3/$6 player given free money...capped pots with J high. Yea that's real fun.So anyone else want to make the trek and see near naked women teach them Poker Tec tables? This is not spam, I have no interest in Fantasy Springs, although I do own PokerTec stock which has gone down 20% since I bought it.

No thanks. When I go to a casino...I want REAL chips...REAL cards....and a LIVE dealer. Good or bad, a dealers personalitymakes the game more interesting. If I want to play "computer" poker...I'll do it at home in my underwear. This is just another way for the house to get the rake faster. Can you visualize Doyle playing this?

I understan your point but there are upsides:No misdeals, which means no more: You are the Floor threads!!More hands per hourNo tipping pressure to overcome everytime you win a pot.Other players lose their ability to disguise tells since they all focus downward and have to 'add running a computer' to thier playing experience. I've noticed they all fall into a trap of never looking at the other players, but quickly getting obsorbed in the computer screen.More likely that the hot cards will not be changed with any stupid deck changes. No more waiting for a new dealer to adjust their butt cushion and then re shuffle the cards robbing us of at least two full hands an hour of playNo more dealers following you home begging you to teach themNo more of that awkward feeling when you make three stacks of 4 chips, thn flick the last stack with your finger to spread the chips out so everyone can see that they were stacks of four, only to have the stack not fall cleanly making you look like you can't even handle spreading chips so next time you flip them too hard and the chip goes across the table and towards the dealer who thinks its a tip mid hand and dumps it in their metal bucket and then you have to call the floor and they whisper back and forth and you know they are commenting that you have never tipped a dealer even though you did tip a dealer last week but they forget those facts.Less chance of catching teh aids from the contaminated chips.

I see your upsides (don't take that the wrong way) but:1. More hands per hour........whats your hurry? It's like sex...enjoy the experience. (I bust out on both too quickly anyway)2. No tipping pressure to overcome everytime you win a pot.....tipping is only done if you are winning. It's like the cost of a ticket to the show.3. More likely that the hot cards will not be changed with any stupid deck changes......I KNOW your too smart to believe in "hot cards".Good luck with your stock. I just don't see the sense in getting cleaned up/ driving to the casino/ dealing with parking....etc. to play on a computer.

2. No tipping pressure to overcome everytime you win a pot.....tipping is only done if you are winning. It's like the cost of a ticket to the show.
Yea uhh that was called a joke. See I implied that I don't tip when I win a pot, which adds the implication that I therefore feel guilty aobut being cheap. These joke things are common in my posts, you may recognize more of them later.
3. More likely that the hot cards will not be changed with any stupid deck changes......I KNOW your too smart to believe in "hot cards".
yea uhh when you want to accuse someone of not being smart in what they say, please use the correct word you're as in you are, because your is only to be misused when you are trying to misuse it. But I do give you extra points for the correct use of too, although it could be incorrect and I wouldn't no.And for the record I am NOT too smart to believe in hot cards. Or is it to smart?

You would be the one of the rare persons that gets cleaned up to go to a casino. And stocks are not about luck, it is about skill. Losers blame variance.

I played on one of these tables on a carribean cruise ship. I HATED it. If these replace real dealers with real chips it will destroy the cash game poker we have today, IMO.
Who would we throw cards at and berate?Sounds lame.
