I Hate My Car

Yah, I drive a truck, but I've always had a thing for little fast cars that handle in a way that a non-pro driver can still go fast in them without killing himself. One of my dreams is getting a Mini Cooper, converting it to a single bench seat and a center steering wheel console, then hauling ass around every corner in downtown Chicago at 3:00 AM like it's in a video game.

Those are realizations, the others unfortunately will remain dreams unless my wife decides our bed can accomodate 3.

So the question is, if you had 14k to spend on a car what would look for? The only prerequisites I have are it must seat more than two people(another reason Commanche is retarded) and have relatively few miles as I would like something that hasn't pounded a 100 thousand miles of concrete already.

Gee ... if you had been around reading my thread from last week, you could have picked up the car I just traded in for only $1000. It's a 1998 green Ford Escort (4 door) with only 45K miles on it. For that money, you could afford to paint it to make it look like new.I bought a 2006 Saturn Ion with 14,000 miles on it for $11,000 on Saturday. It think it was the right decision for me -- but part of me does hate it a little. It's not that there is anything AND MONEY.
