Commerce 200NL Blinds 3/5Only been at the table with for about an hour.Reads (Button) Capable of laying down, yet passive with pairs, for example.Earlier, He check/called on flop of J-X-X I bet.Turn CheckedRiver KHe Checked and I made a little over 1/2 pot bet with A-Q.He hesitated, for a while before making a crying fold. (I assume he had a J)BB Tight, passive transparent player, tends to simply call w/ hands and ex. called a flop bet w/ 2 pair, and raises w/ JJ+To the Hand.Effective Stacks:Hero: ($280)BB: ($300)Button ($140)MP Limped(Button)LimpedHero:(SB)I look down at K-Jo I call.(BB) checks.Flop5-8-K (rainbow)(Pot $19)(Hero): Bets $25(BB): Calls $25(Button): Calls $25Turn: QHero?Thank you in advanced for the feedback. And I apologize for not converting it. first post here in the strat forum.

This COULD be two pair, but because it's live, I don't mind a $40 bet to keep the lead and see where we're at. I yield to pressure here, just because we don't have any way of knowing where in hell we're at.

ewww what's w/ the overbet?so cal casinos are lame... high ass blinds so they can have a high ass rake... i can't believe they only have a $200 max buy for a $5 big blind... that's so stupid.. @ least you get $300 if you go to the jungle (hawaiian gardens - lolz)yeah, make it like $15 on the flop... seriously...*EDIT*
I bet the turn to make it easier to play, (my thought process at the time)vs.c/r will make it more difficult since I"m playing to big of a pot w/ tpokay, Flop K-8-5 ($19 pot)Turn: Q ($94 pot)Hero: ChecksBB: ChecksButton: Bets $40Hero?
well, the overbet was actually alot worse than check raising... you bloated the pot anyways & got zero information to boot... oh yeah, check raising's a hell of a lot stronger than just leading IMO... you rep more strength w/ the check raise here & the pot ends up @ probably the same...seriously, i fold to that turn bet as played... you can't beat anything... this was a limped pot... guy's probably got 85 sooted... all you have is one pair... sure, you can beat K 10 & K 9... but those are literally the only two hands you can beat... there was no money in the pot preflop, so their ranges are literally any two cards for BB & VIRTUALLY ATC for button... nobody does this w/ A 8 suited... and i doubt button called the massive flop overbet w/ a Q & now thinks it's good...i fold & kick myself for throwing in 5 yellows instead of 3 yellows... next hand

I'd pretty much do everything differently.PF if I've got a decent table image I'm gonna bump it about 3-4xBB and try to weed out BB and maybe even one other limper. Also to try and gain some info from MP or Button if they do call. A third reason is to try and represent a stronger holding than I actually have if I don't hit the flop/turn hard.On the flop my goal is to control pot size and maybe dump one more player if it didn't work PF or take it outright representing a hand like AK which the PF raise hopefully aided in doing. If I lead its for pot or near pot, or I check raise. But given your read of passivity of the other players I don't know if I really like c/r for any reason other than a possibility the passive players will check around and keep the pot small. Another reason I would tend to shy away from c/r here is if another player bets around pot size any raise is really more than I'd like to put in with this hand so I'd almost have to dump it unless I'm at least 90% certain that a c/r will take it down right then. If you get a call from either of those moves and it's most likely c/f turn unless you feel ballsy and think you can steal on the river but I doubt you can.

How do we go forward? Tell me the river card.
Well I'm just assuming if turn is a 2(deuce) for example. So, thinking back I could've bet $15get 2 callersand on the turn Bet $40-$50Well.I folded and BB claimed to have folded 6-7 (for open ender)(button) uknown.I spoke with another player who plays 5/10 regularly. And he stated that I could've made a continuation bet on the turn of $75.Yet, what would I do on the river? Thinking back it is live, and their both passive. And I"m sure If either of them bets/raises on River. I'm most likely beat.Again, looking back that $40 did seem pretty weakish. but in retrospect my hand was very transparent after my bet on flop. So he could've had something like K-10s or same hand as me.Point being. what I was looking for, is how do you guys handle playing a TP medium kicker type hand OOP? In this live loose/passive games?Thanx for the feedback. very enlightening so far.
