Thanks for the updates. In lieu of the changes we've made, I'll still look into a possible foursome (as there's still a few up for golf, it seems) at Talking Stick. Also trying to land a lunch deal at the Blue Coyote grill (right off the poker room) for Saturday for us tourney players and railers. Will let you know if something develops.

Hey guys...... I'm not sure what kind of news gets up from Tucson to Phx, but I lost my job yesterday (worked for First Magnus Financial). FMFC was the largest privately held mortgage back in the nation, and a top 10 lender overall. In light of big players like Countrywide being on the ropes as well, we lost the ability to sell off our pipeline of loans, which is the cornerstone of our business. A big part of me coming up next week is getting paid on Monday, but I learned yesterday that our last checks might be delayed. How long, I don't know. So for now, I'm changing my status for next weekend from "definite" to "uncertain." I know various ideas for Saturday have been discussed, but I kept my request into CAZ just to see what they could come up with. It's not as great (i.e., free) as I thought it could be, but it's not bad either. Basically, right now we have 2 tee times being held for our group for Talking Stick (south course) at 9:37am and 9:45am Saturday. We did get a discount on this--the greens fee with cart would be $45/person.Also, at the end of our round (1:30-2:00-ish), the course will call ahead to the Blue Coyote Grill (restaurant adjacent to the poker room) to confirm lunch reservations for our group (including any from the poker tourney who want to join us). Alas, the meal won't be comped as I hoped, but I run goot in credit card roulette, so that didn't matter so much to me anyway.SOOOO...if you would like to be in for golf, I need to know pretty much ASAP so I know whether to keep these tee times or not. I have some friends that can probably help us fill out 8 if we need it, but obviously I'm opening it up to FCPhoenix first. So post here or PM me to let me know if you want in for Sat AM golf. Golf won't be an option for me. I have a busy day this Saturday- Poker with you guys friday till lord knows when, maybe a tourney in the morning, I have to meet on the west side for my live fantasy draft in the late afternoon and then at 8 I am seeing Great White with Jani Lane from Warrant opening at Westgate. So, my plate is a bit full.
