I was playing In AC at a 1-2 no limit table. I was at my bachelor party and just playing for fun not expecting to play my best cause I was loaded. Anyway I got kings a couple off the button and an earlier to middle position player whom from what I gathered was playing solid made it 15. I grabbed $50 in chips placed it in the middle and said fifty, I am almost positive this happened although as I said I was drunk, it was ruled as a call because I did not say raise. If I did not say 50 I am pretty sure my intentions were clear(it was a 25 dollar chip and 5 five dollar ships), this is my first question, just want everyones thoughts on this. So anyway the two of us see the flop of J67 rainbow. He checks I bet 30 and he moves in for 203. I'm basically left thinking that he knows I wanted to reraise preflop and I'm confused as to what he is putting me on. I eventually laid it down putting him on a set. He later told me he had queens and I definitely believe him. Your thoughts?

That's a BS ruling if the action happened as you remember it. I say that because our esteemed mod, Zach, doesn't remember doing anything wrong at the Imperial Palace, but still got thrown out of the game and escorted off the premises by a legion of security members. Sometimes the action is different than the alcohol tells us. :)If you put out 50 and used more than one chip, it is always, always, always a raise. That said, I still think you should be calling there.Hope you enjoyed your bachelor party. :club:

That's a raise. If you weren't drunk, you could have bitched at the dealer to call the floor over. Strange you were drunk enough to fold kings? Most people can't fold Kings there when they're sober.

4AM July 2nd. :club:
I was at the table at Imperial Palace that night. First hand he played he declared he was "going all in blind" (after looking at his cards, so sneaky.. lol), I had kings and called him. He flipped AK spades and spiked an ace on the river. He was mostly just obnoxious drunk and upsetting the fish at the table. He didn't last too long because he couldn't stop swearing. He wasn't nearly as drunk as the guy I saw at Binion's a couple nights later. His buddy was playing and he sat down beside him in an empty seat. Knuckles all busted up from a fight earlier that night and he could barely keep his head off the felt. He ended up passing out and puking on the floor before security arrived to take him away. Good times...

HAHAHAHA. I was the one with the AK that spiked the ace! I won like 800 bucks in however long we were there. Zach was on my right. He's the one who got us kicked out for swearing. I was just obnoxious. You were tilted a bit after that first hand. :)EDIT: http://www.fullcontactpoker.com/poker-foru...t&p=1979509EDIT #2: I just saw your remark about looking at my cards on the AK hand! I really didn't, or have no recollection if I did!

Not too badly. I've seen so many bad plays (especially live) it doesn't phase me much anymore. I'll take KK all in against AK any day :D

There were a couple players between you and I so I wasn't sure if you did (it looked like you did). After the hand two guys with a better view told me that you did look, so I took their word for it.

Retarded. I can't see how this is anything but a raise. Factor in the human element ...

If 1/2 NLHE is anything like this in Vegas, I'm starting to feel a lot less intimidated...:club:
If you have any significant online experience, you shouldn't feel intimidated at all by the skill level of 1/2 players in Las Vegas. They do have some practice losing larger amounts of money. Don't let losing tilt you.
