You must have been @ the Taj... there dealers are horrible

Thanks for the responses. I ended up thinking for a while and folding and those two got it in. It turns out that both of them had 8-7.... the raise had 8-7 of diamonds and he turned the flush and made the straight flush on the river. So needless to say it was a pretty good fold. I hate chasing OOP, especially in these particular situations. So I think I will pat myself on the back. Thanks

Isn't gambling illegal for 17 year olds?

LoL. Thank you for the advice and great insight. I will continue to watch

I believe I am leaning more towards the monsta draw with the A-3 or something like that, or a set. Definitely a river raise and I think he'll have to pay ya off. Kinda off topic, this is a HUGE 1/2NL game. I don't normally see these types of stacks in the game. But its good, better for playing poka. Wish some of the 1/2NL games were as deep as this one that I've played in.

Perhaps you should get a job... just a thought

Yea forgot to mention above that the call on the flop was absolutely horrible. And turn is even worse.

You got it in good, they just got there. It happens. Maybe a smaller bet on the flop, but it's hard to say b/c i don't know how the players are in your game. They might just like to gamble gamble all the time or they really don't have much of an insight into the game. Anywayz, hope you win next time.

I think that your play is fine and agree with the above posters. hope he had K-K and you scooped a monsta

Get chips quick. Put max pressure on your opponents and gamble gamble a little bit and hope luck is on your side this time. Only way you can do well in that structure. GL

Playing 5/10NL live and decided to post a hand I witnessed. I was actually only apart of it for the flop. So here goes:We all have anywhere between $600-$1200. I am playing pretty decent and staying out of bad spots. The table was pretty good, decent action, but pretty tight on most hands. The guy in the one seat was a younger guy(looked 14 actually) and looked absolutely petrified playing this limit. Anywho, he is incredibly weak tight, never taking the lead in anything really. The following hand came up.2 limpers, I limp on the button with Q-J of hearts and the one seat in the SB rais

Life continues on my friend. There is someone out there for everyone and you will find her one day. As the others have said before... just grind it out and have a good time in your younger years. Once you get a wife and a family(unless she's like my wife who plays higher limits and better than I do), things change and that's when you can settle down and focus on that. Right now, just be young, get krunk, drink beer, and smack that all on the floor! GL and all the best

Funny... every bad beat has that phrase "I knew I had him/her". And whoever said your gonna hate high limit poker, I definitely agree. There are luckboxes and bad players no matter the limit. It happens. GL

About Phil Iveys folding technique.... that's why he's the best. And he seemed to be getting really ticked off with PG's constant banter. I was glad to see the tension lift though when E-DOG got eliminated and it seemed like him and PG were on good terms. Shana does kind of annoy me though, but not as much as Courtney Friehl. I would definitely rather listen to Gabe, Mike, or even Vince. And now that I think of it there's another guy that's kind of an annoying commentator. You guys ever watch the 1995 or something like that WSOP main event final table where Gabe and that other guy(he pla
