Twenty-five years ago at Binion's Horeshoe, Stu Unger outplayed former two-time WSOp champion Doyle Brunson to become the youngest champ ever of the World Series of Poker main event. Moneymaker had previously never engaged in live tournament poker play, and qualified by entering a satellite tournament on the internet. Riding a string of good play and good fortune through the final table, the Nashville, Tennessee, accountant turned his intial buy-in of just $40 into a WSOP record payout of $2.5 million.
