FileError404 0
Looks like the Bellagio Cup with their much bigger buy-ins this year isn't going so well. They had 37 entries for the last 5K event... Even the smaller buy-in events have trouble even getting 100 players, meanwhile the Venetian is busting at the seams.Bad Idea to jack up the buy ins so much, Jack McClelland? Omaha Hi/Lo 0
Bad Idea to jack up the buy ins so much, Jack McClelland?I agree. I think the BIG draw last year was that the buy-in was only 1k, and you got 5k in chips w/ 25-50 blinds and 45 min levels - something you CAN'T have at the WSOP...

Totalbluff 0
I played one of these the other day. Very nice structure and was suprised by the number of pros/semi-pros who showed up to play. There were around 540 players, 82k for 1st.
Totalbluff 0
also, sign up by 11 or you will end up on the alternate list. I waited almost an hour and a half on the alt list and had only lost 600 in chips by the time I got to the table. Blinds were still 50/100. I just hated having to wait around for people to bust. mx957 0
I do recommend showing up early (Ventian Deep Stacks that is). I played in one of these...good structure! My only problem was I busted 45/589 which paid zero....bubble was 40. Oh well, 11 hours of poker with nothing to show. Dealers were good, floor staff was decent. All in all a good tourney (except for my results).

supertouch 0
I'm going to be out in Vegas next week and was on the fence about playing the Venetian. Looking at the structure I think I am going ot play the Friday (6/29) event for sure, if I can't sattellite into the 2K event at the WSOP that friday. Thanks for the heads up on the getting there early. Anyone else playing that day?

Anyone else playing that day?Playing in the Saturday tournament ($550) is one of the things I'm looking forward to the most when I go to Vegas in September. I just wish I knew more people that were doing well in these, most every report I've read is about people barely missing the money. Oh well, Danny Nguyen won one of the DS events over the weekend, so how hard could they really be? lol

I'm thinking they're one and the same.
