canuck89 0
Vancity represent! And yes, I read the article first thing this morning when I woke up. From some of the terms, you could tell it was written by someone who wasn't too familiar with poker. I believe they said that he won a "pot" of 481k, and they also called the Main Event the "Series Final". Still pretty good exposure.

He played b-ball at White Rock Christian, got a scholarship to UMass. came back, started playing poker. Plays under the name "krisqueen" on Full Tilt. He's done very well online, and gone deep in a couple WPT events. All 3 are very good players, and represent the city well. Mueller is actually a good friend of a friend of mine, and Ive played hockey against Kyle Wilson (I may or may not of fought him, cant remember)Hadnt heard of Shawn Buchanon until the Mandalay event, but obviously he's alright. If anyone is intrested, I know pokerwire was keeping tabs on all 3 during the WSOP, providing ongoing storylines in their attempt to bring more braceletes back to BC

You just need to speak Cantonese or Mandarin to live there. The Casino you are thinking of is on Broadway not Boulevard. Boulevard Casino is out in the Coquitlam, the burbs. there is also one going up in Burnaby.
