  1. In my opinion (sorry if my whole post was rediculous..but it is an opinion...and you asked for them didn't you?) you fail to note here that you may Already be behind to the A high flush on an unpaired board when you hit your flush no? Especially considering that Ax suited IS a reccomended staring hand in many situations (especially at these stakes on loose internet tables). Also you say the lone A of the suit only has a 15% chance of winning. This is only true if you hit your flush on the turn. It has a much greater chance of winning if you hit your flush on the flop. So that means your K Litt
  2. This hand just sucks. This is one of those hands where pre flop you think swwweeeet. Then the flop comes and you think life is a big unfair crock of warm steaming corn filled poo. Then of course the turn...on a board where you didn't really want to hit your set not only do you hit it...it puts the flush out there as well...puke puke puke. And just when you think it couldn't get worse....here comes the club on the river. I think I would have check called this down maybe even folded my set after not filling up on the river when it's a club. With the action we MUST be beat here right?Sorry for th
  3. I'm with bud here...and you. I agree that when people are down to their last bit of change they tend to make desperate moves. I think it has more to do with a mentality of "they'll know im strong cause they'll know I wouldn't risk the last of my money" than with wanting to leave. I smell a straight draw with 10J. If he's really got you beat with 2 pair and he's against only one player...why would he want to run you off...specially on the flop...why not wait for the bigger turn bet. Honestly i probably reraise the flop on this going-broke-*******. I like to send these guys the message that I in
  4. With K/little suited when you hit your flush on any street but 5th you are way more vulnerable than with A/little suited right? Imagine you hit your jackpot....flop a flush. In addition to the 9 cards that pair the board you also have to worry about the other 8 cards of your suit out there. Hit your flush on the turn and there are a total of 20 cards left that stick it to you. If Im holding the A of a suit and there's 3 of that suit on the board....im just not folding. Would you? I'm like the earlier poster...i I hope for reasons not to play these K/little suiteds...they just get you in troubl
  5. Allrighty then....Thanks for the feedback fellas. This hand happened last Thursday and has been nagging at me days. In the end this is a bad, no sick beat story. I have been going over it again and again wondering if there was a way to get away from it or to get him off his hand...The dude had J Q !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (insert shoot self in head smiley here)So...preflop he must be thinking...eh, screw it...lets see the flop (doesn't realize he's a massive underdog)On the flop....he's in heaven...he knows he's got the nuts and poor me now im screwed and I don't know itOn
  6. I thought that might be a better play but figured with him betting into me I should wait for the bigger bet.Would I be raising to see how much he likes his hand, because I think my hand is vulnerable, or for value?
  7. Ultimate Bet.25/.50 Limit8 handedHero is middle position.Dealt A A (yummy). Folds around to me and I raise it. Folds around to small blind who calls. Big blind gets out of the way. FLOP - 10 k A (swweeeeet)Small blind bets into me? He's a pretty tight player so he definitely caught a piece of it but Im not feeling a straight....I don't put him on KK or AK cause I assume he would have re-raised me preflop. I'm assuming Im in the lead and decide to just call him..maybe make him think I'm on AQ,AJ etc and then stick it to him on the turn.TURN - K - BOOMLike i said...I didn't put
  8. Yea. Seems like a lot of people say that. As soon as I clear my bonus money at FCP and UB i'll be heading to party to try and get my share!
  9. Or is the level of play between sites way different.I started out at UB playing .5/.10 and got to where I could beat it up 2 tabling. The next level there is .25/.50 and I was kind of scared to make such a big jump so I depoited at FCP to play .15/.30. After a while I am beating that game consistently and my BR is up enough to hit the .25/.50 so I got on it and had been doing great. Then I realize I still have money at UB and a lot of bonus that needs clearing so I start switching off between UB and FCP. But for some reason I am consistently just breaking even or losing at UB while I'm consi
  10. I did a search for the same thing and found your post.Hopefully my posting a reply will bump it and get us both and answer.
  11. Thanks guys. Lot's of good info for me to chew on.Generally if the flop is pretty ragged I like to lead, I just wasn't sure if that was the correct. playI'll try to grab and post the next actual hand that leaves me asking myself if made the correct play in that particular situation. Thanks again guys.
  12. It's been a while since I read the standard low limit texts and a situation keeps coming up that I don't recall reading about. Can some of you guys point me in the direction of the right play in this situation? When in BB and get a free flopOR In SB with small suited connectors and complete ( is this bad already?)On a ragged flop I hit middle or bottom pair.Should I be leading here OOP and hope none of the hands with overs want to stick around? I will always fold to raises..but if no one does how do I play out the rest of the hand?Hopefully this isn't so basic that no on will respond...but I'd
  13. Hmm..I'm confused then...what outs are we looking for here? any non heart a,k or T right? doesn't that give us 7 outs or am I missing something.
  14. If you were ok calling the flop raise what about the 5s on the turn was so scarry that you fold?
  15. Ummmm.. true... I often miss the straight on the board! That definitley takes a little of the wind out of my sails. I suppose calling back 3 would be ill advised in this case. Rise <- Smart 8) POTU <- Stooooopid
