Help Daniel and Mike Sexton w/Poker Corner

My former college roomate is an assistant producer with the Travel Channel and worked to get the WPT on that channel. I mentioned this to him and he said just what Daniel said...they like the ratings poker brings but don't want to become a Gambling Network. Also, that the ratings were pretty poor for the Poker Corner. Last, one of the top producers with the station said in a meeting quote "Let's not overplay a good thing...analyzing dumb poker moves is a bit much...I love the traffic poker brings but let's not take away from shows that started this network" -
I don't understand why in society we tip only certain professions? We don't tip our garbage men or service clerks?

I got Xbox recently and World Poker Championship... I didnt return it because I wanted to play it online. It is pretty good but only when playing it online because it sucks otherwise. I really don't see the point of it at all considering if you want to play for free you can go to just about every poker site and play with really people...

Reguardless of how much money teens are up online or how could they think they are poker isnt good for them...they think they know everything -
We all pretty much know that poker is mostly skill with some luck involved...but when there is 5,000 people in the tournament how can any skill remain? I think in terms of overall purse and money it is the biggest tournament but it could come to being as prestigious as winning the lottery (WOW! How lucky are you??)Daniel/others- With all of the people in the tournament now, does it loose some prestige in your mind...as in to win it just takes too much luck?
-
The WSOP website predicts around 5,000 people next year! This sounds more like who can be the luckiest...but I also think this fad will eventually where down.
-
I think that would be a good idea, but considering that 5,000 people are expected to play in next years main event, I think you would be throwing the money away (not saying that no one should play in it). But a satelitte seems a little more reasonable. It seems the Main Event is becoming a lot more about luck...consider what Phil Hellmuth said: "imagine 2600 players in a room flipping coins, 1300 flip heads and move one . . . eventually three will flip heads ten times in a row. Good luck trying to beat the guy that has ten coin flips in a row go his way!"

"I CAN CONFIRM THAT DANIEL IS NOT OUT AT BELLAGIO. HE IS DOING WELL.DAVID PHAM JUST WISHED HIM GOOD LUCK DURING A BREAK IN THE ACTION." Quoted from recpoker.com
