  1. Pretty funny stuff:http://www.battingstanceguy.comVid from Letterman is on the front page, then if you navigate the site you can find videos for all/most teams. The Dodgers stances had me cracking up.
  2. Blah had a response typed up and I misclicked.1. Lol at making definite statements about a guy with a year's worth of experience.2. Lol at Sandoval being the only MLB hitter with good hand-eye coordination...Pretty sure Ward and Young had that as well....3. Since when is Sandoval a 'good defensive player'? Not as bad as some thought maybe, but good? If that is the case, why did Bochy yank him for Uribe in the Sanchez no hitter? It's not like Uribe is Brooks Robinson...4. I was giving Sandoval a compliment by comaring him to Dmitri Young; a .292 career avg with about 20 hrs a year is pret
  3. Sick Zimmer! Nice to see an old school FCPer ship something like that, congrats!
  4. Also, any doubts I might have about the Giants ability to keep up their pace come from how they have done against better teams and on the road. As with a lot of teams with young players, they have been much better at home. They've done well to beat the weaker teams (Padres, Nationals, etc), but have struggled against teams like the Angels and the Mets (both series at SF), who haven't been world beaters this year, but have a lot more talent on their rosters then some teams. The Giants most impressive performance in a road series that I can think of was taking 2/3 at La, but as a rival that i
  5. I like him so far, but my main concern with him would be his body breaking down sooner rather then later. Players with his body type tend to run into injury problems, or just get too out of shape (see Dimitri Young, Daryle Ward - both very talented hitters who's careers weren't all that impressive).
  6. GLGL SBROunder/Tom West with like 380k going into today, not to mention JC still hanging in there. Tom making a deep run would make him a folk hero to nits everywhere.
  7. Bills is pissing me off blowing leads, and Broxton seems to be on a bender since making the all star team, but besides that I am almost satisfied. Even Russell Martin and Raffy have been less loser-like as of late, which makes me think Manny might have found an undetectable PED for them all to use.
  8. Heh I noticed. FCP could become a partner with UB, change it's primary colors to pink and purple (or worse for me, black and orange), start a weekly radio show with Micon as the host, and I still would be loyal.
  9. If the Dodgers were 7 games out of first, I wouldn't use a term as optimistic as 'competing'; I would be whining about how awful they were. The Giants have had a great year, a little bit better than I thought they would, but the year is only half over. I'm a fan of the team with the best record in baseball, but I'm not going to make any final judgments on the Dodgers until the season comes to a close. Doing anything else is just setting yourself up for disappointment; I wouldn't declare myself a winner of a pot in poker after only the flop was dealt...If the Giants faded and finished at or n
  10. All my friends that are true Giants fans and I said the same thing after last night's game - trade him now when his value is at it's high point. You really don't want to get stuck with your own version of Oliver Perez.
  11. I didn't realize Giants fans would get so upset about Matt Kemp not getting the nod...No chance Manuel was picking Sandoval to replace an outfielder.
  12. Not even DePodesta; Dan Evans was the gm that made a lot of the draft picks/moves that put the core of the team together.I def think Ned has benefited from the work of his predecessors, as well as a more forgiving payroll then Sabean deals with in SF.
  13. Lol, probably not the best thread to read after not visiting fcp in a few weeks.
  14. Heh my new stars avatar:I think I'm changing my avatar on here to another one though.
  15. Nice, gf and I commented after the game that it would have been a fun one to go to!Considering how Ethier has been hitting, that was not the ending I imagined.
  16. Congrats Gibler, well deserved, keep up the good work!
  17. Wow, so all this ^. Sportsmack is one of my new favorite posters now I think, just because he has Wilson read perfectly.LOOOOOOL at him getting upset with Blake. He makes that sign every time he gets a save (not often lately) and gets upset when someone mocks him? Blake had no clue that Wilson somehow relates that sign to his father and his faith, so /Wilson shouldn't be shocked when a hitter took exception to it. On the surface, unless you are a Giants player or a diehard fan (my sympathies) you would have no clue what his little act was about.I never really cared either way for Wilson (a
  18. Yeah, My Mom isn't bad either, I just don't care for Insane or 3am too much. I really, really like the beat and his flow in Deja Vu and it would probably be my favorite song if I was into prescription drugs lol.
  19. FYPThe Dodgers ran extremely well in that game though; every groundball got through, every blooper dropped, etc etc. And we obviously can't overlook how bad the Rockies are. My brother asked me if I knew why Furcal sat and my immediate answer was ' Because he sucks.', lol. Go Juan Castro, at least I know he will have professional abs (aka not swingins as hard as he can and falling down as he hits a weak ground ball to 2nd) and is able to get the ball out of his glove cleanly. Good job Eric Stults, staked with a 7-0 lead in the 4th he couldn't get through 5 to get the win.
  20. GLGL all! I won't be out there until the end of June, and will be playing events 51 & 54 and most likely the main.
  21. Yeah they moved it to Saturdays, I wouldn't have found it if it wasn't for dvr.Did you watch all of Legend of the Seeker? Lol watched the finale yesterday and they def went off from the plot the books had.
  22. Lol ya that was amusing, as was the bird divebombing Hunter when he was on the ground.Pretty blah 6th inning, would be a shame to lose a game you had a 4-0 lead with Bills on the mound at home.
