  1. you sound pretty proud of your "donk moves" in those pots....I am sure you will be back later complaining about you losing to some donk who doesn't know how to play the game..........wait a second.....
  2. And everyone in Missouri still thinks Rolla is a top notch Engineering school, but that doesn't make it true. Rolla isn't even ranked in the top 50 anymore and Mizzou is ranked as a better engineering school. BTW, Saint Louis U has higher standards than Truman does.yes, I am sure you are an expert on the college standards and have all of the exact statistical information to prove it....actually, you sound kind of bitter, what, did you try and get into a good school and get your dumb ass shot down??? sounds like you have issues
  3. yeah, they play it....ALL THE TIME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!fold this thread, then go all-in and play the board
  4. everyone in Missouri refers to Truman as the Harvard of the Midewst, if other states regard other universities regard theirs as the same thing, nothing i can do about that. No doubt that both are very prestigious universities, regardless of what it used to be called. TSU is a fairly tough university to get into
  5. I can guarantee I got a 35 on the ACT, i know there is no way I can prove it, but i am actually a genius when it comes to standardized test material...i know i can't prove this, other than to say that I attend a highly selective university (Truman State University, the Harvard of the Midwest, look it up)...I am being completely serious, but you can believe what you want
  6. It is a pretty safe assumption, I was 99.99999 percent sure that is who you meant
  7. I actually heard it was Lederer, but I could be wrong
  8. I will assume you mean Bruce Springsteen, and yes, though I have never seen him live, he is definitely awesome...both his old stuff and his new stuff..
  9. alright, fair enough, I didn't mean to come off as being hostile. I do not categorize them as being that way, but if others do, I guess they judge that off of just a couple songs, as I can't understand how you could actually categorize them in this way. But okay, I do see your point, sorry about coming off as hostile or whatever, I didn't mean to, my badand yes, I have heard the Pixies
  10. oh yeah, i forgot to explicitly say that i would raise on the river instead of calling him down, that is the only part of the way the OP played that i disagree with
  11. Stud online is very very profitable for me just because everyone seems to treat their three starting cards like a holdem hand, when it is very very wrong to do....for example, a good stud player will fold a hand such as (A 3 ) Q most of the time, yet many of the "holdem players" wll think to themselves, "Yes, I have Ace-Queen, I must raise" In the long run, this hurts them a lot, as they overvalue their high cards and end up chasing to fifth or sixth street a lot with just high cards. So I would say that online stud is more profitable than holdem, just becuase there is so much more info.
  12. looks to me like the villian either has A-7 of 44. I play alot at these exact same tables (Pstars, .50/1.00) and I find that players tend to check raise on the flop rather than the turn with a set, especially on a two-suited board (this is my experience, anyways). Therefore, I would put him on A7 and just call him down. Thus, I like the way you played this, but honestly, I am only a decent holdem player, better stud player.
  13. you know, I make a lot of foolish posts on here just to try and piss people off...but this post is the most foolish thing i have ever read..seriously, "I know it sounds donkish, but it works??" Yeah, as soon as you go broke by playing WAY above your bankroll, I am sure you will find some other reason to blame it on, rather than you just being an idiot. But seriously, what you are doing sounds donkish because you are a donk and will therefore lose money, so haha to you
  14. Green Day is credited for creating the modern pop-punk trend as well. Can't believe I am actually sitting here defending them in some way, but I'll give them some credit for sticking around so long when most bands of that time are gone. White Stripes are a trend right now as well, the "garage band" revival of the early `00s. The Strokes and them are the frontrunners of that movement. White Stripes are alright, but they are not innovators, I would still rather hear them then some of the shit on the radio, but still.....so many other good new bands out there that you don't get to hear about, I
  15. fold bottom set??? what the hell are you talking about, this thread is about Stud Hi/Lo, oh my god.....you need to read a poker book and discover that there are other games besides hold'em, jesus....
  16. the "get rich quick and easy" mindset is more prominent in America, and poker is seen by some/many as a way to get rich in an "easy" way, as in you don't have to "work." While this view is obviously mistaken, as playing poker for living isn't as easy way to get rick quick..but, still, younger people will continue to think that as long as they see one person on TV doing it
  17. go watch moneymaker play in the WCOOP event on Pokerstars, if he is still in
  18. I agree that noone will ever come close to being Dylan, all I meant was that I feel that Jack White is an incredible lyricist and makes music for the right reasons, as did Dylan, and that therefore, in this way, he is a modern-day version of Dylan. I do not feel that Jack White is as good or as significant in any way as Dylan. I do, however, feel that Jack White has a lot of time to make a lot of good and meaningful music, unlike everyone else today who pretty much makes music based on what is trendy at the time, and yes, that includes Green Day.Also, I feel that the White Stripes "Elephant"
  19. you might try and bluff with a pot-sized bet, but I doubt that will work, so go ahead and fold this shit
  20. Jack White is a genius and will continue to prove that he is as close to a modern-day Bob Dylan that there will ever be, and if you guys don't understand the greatness of Bob Dylan and his importance to rock 'n' roll and music in general, than you guys don't know anything about music
  21. If you think that is bad, try and imagine how many decent stud players there are in these younger groups of people
  22. I would cold call two bets here and hope to hit a set. With five other callers, you are getting good odds
  23. You have GOT to be kidding me. Green Day sucks...oohhhh, they came out with an anti-war song...oh, they are the greatest.....oh wait a second, who the f*ck cares. Maybe if they would have wrote this song at the beginning of the war, you know, like a good protest song is supposed to be, then maybe, but writing an anti-war/Bush song a year or so into the war and basically saying THE EXACT SAME THING EVERYONE ELSE IS SAYING is stupid. Just like most bands today, Green Day sucks and is just trying to put out an album that will sell alot and make them money...too bad they can't make music just fo
