I realized that there would be consequences if I was caught before this. However, if I can take the easy way out I will. There are some shortcuts in life. Maybe you're right and that there is not one here. I guess I'll just have to play it out. My friend went through something similar and said he just acted really sad and serious to the prosecuter. He got probation and community service.

Don't insult my parents. I've been getting yelled at to get a job for a while. I'm just kind of lazy.

I deserve it. I did something stupid and I've said a lot of stupid, stubborn things on this thread. I have a really egotistical personality so I always think that I can find ways around these things. One of my ideas was to ask people on the poker forum. However, this hasn't brought the answers that I hoped.

Do you use it for anyone else though? I don't think that cops should think that they're so special they deserve those titles. I don't talk to any of my elders like that. I respect the fact that they have to enforce the law, but I don't feel that they deserve more respect then I give anybody else. Maybe I'm the only person here who feels that way, but that's how I feel. It don't matter though, because it's not changing anything.

I wasn't trying to be disrespectful and I think the cop realized it afterwards. I told him it's just the way I talk. I don't talk to anyone with a yessir, nossir. It might be generational. Only when I'm down south do I hear people talk in a yessir/nossir fashion still. I guess it's common in law enforcement and in the military still, but up where I live it's like non-existent in these situations. I know now that if I ever get pulled over again to use that terminology though.

I started this thread for help...not to complain. I wasn't expecting anybody to cry for me, but maybe some advice from people who have gone through it before. I am looking for excuses or anything to get my charges lowered. I think that I am trying to take responsibilty by not making my dad get a lawyer if he doesn't have to. Lawyers just make excuses or pay people off anyways...only their excuses sound better.

The fine is not the problem. I may lose my license and my insurance might double. The fine/community service is the least of my worries. I was not given a fine. That is more than likely a bad thing.

Well, I'm not a lawyer...and I'm trying to think of defense. It's quite fun actually. I've come up with some really creative ideas in the past hour.

Well, what words the cop and I exchanged are over with. I'm basically looking for advice from people who have gone through this before. If they got a lawyer, what did they say to get them off? I might or might not get a lawyer. Since I rely on my dad I'm not in charge of that decision. However, I'd like to save my family the money.

It definately could go ugly. I don't know the law and I don't know the procedures that he was supposed to take. However, the fact that he was so off on the color of my car might help me. He also said between 90-100. I don't know if they always do that or he couldn't get the actual speed.

I got pulled over yesterday for going what the cop wrote down as 90-100 mph last night at about 10:30. In Connecticut the law is anything over 85 mph is considered to be reckless driving. He told me that he was following me for a mile. When he talked to me he was a real jerk. I was saying "yup" and "nope" instead of "yes sir" and "no sir," but he threatened to bring me down to the station for not taking it seriously. I don't think Torre would be fired, but Guidry might. I think that Cashman deserves some of the blame. He paid $50 million for Kei Igawa who is terrible. That money would have much better spent on a guy like Ted Lilly. He also did not choose to bring Bernie back. As a result our bench sucks.

This is not good. I realize that it's only April, but somebody might be fired by the end of the weekend. Hopefully the Yanks can score 10 runs today, but that still may not be enough with Karstens pitching.
