What casinos in michigan have the gambling age at 18 or 19? I plan on goin there in December and want to start playin live poker to get me ready for when im 21.

SO im 18 and i always played the home games and had alot of fun but when people stopped playin i also had to stop playin since there was no one to play with. But now this friday im goin to a chicago poker live tourney and SnG and cash games, so i would like everyones thoughts on it and whatnot, Thanks

Ya they pay money, idk if its like a charitable game but its just like a live game wherever they can set it up and ya they offer like 8 person sngs at 25 50 or 75 a pop and for 25 winner gets 130 2nd gets 7 so its not bad.

So im only 18 and i just posted a bulletin to find out about charitable games and what not that are at like VFW's and whatnot so would that b a good way to get my roll started?

A few people i kno that are 21 were tellin me about places thati could go to play becuase im 18 and they sed they have live games in chicago, there not at casinos there at like VFW's and places like that so if anyone has any information or anything can u give me some info on it. thanks

Alright, last night I was playing in a home game (SitnGo style) top 2 pay outa 10, and im first to act and im dealt pockets 10s and i riase from 100 to 400, SB folds and BB rasies me all-in, ive got about 5500 and he had 2900, he was playin tight the whole night, and he made very few movies, but he was in alot of hands with like A10 KJ and e never really made any reraises preflop, so i just hoped he was just tryin to make a move and i called and he flips pver pocket J's. What should i have done?

At 1:30 today i am in a tourny near my home and the pot is gonna be like 150 dollars to the winner. so wish me luck

Being that he raised from the BB, J10 isnt out of the quesiton either and he most likely would be bettin with a straight draw, and when he missed on the river he made top pair or possibly a set, but either way id still push here.

Ok, so say i have an up and down straight draw and 2 overs, that gives me8 outs, and there is $80 in the pot, and my opponent bets $40, so i am gettin 3-1 on my money and i about 5.5-1 but if i hit my hand i will get another $120 from my oppoent, does this sound right

My plans are, to win as much as possible, and then wen i turn 18 take that money and put it online and play with that, i think it would work, but toher suggestions would be nice.

Since im only 16 and am not old enough to be in a casino could i build up my bankroll by winning like tournaments my friends have, the winner usually gets at least $50 and they have these 2 or 3 times a week,

Okay, so i play play money tourneys on poker stars and i truly want to become a "tournamnet strategist"and i think this week i have done somewhat well. In 18 person tourneys i have cashed in 4 outa the 6 and won 1 and had 1 second, in 27 perosn tourenys i have cashed 3/5 times won one and i hjave played two 45 person tourneys and won one of them, but my stategy, is that i play very tight and agressive, and limit my hands to about anything better than and including QJ and sumtimes J10, and then wen im at the final table ill look to take down a few blinds here and there and some little pots, the

OK this play would def. not have been bad if you woldve raised with like say 78 becuz its a good drawing hand and u could hit a a 7 or 8 wich wouldnt be a bad mid pair, but with ah nad like 24 u kinda have to hit sumthin or ull be done, becuz of exaclty wut happend, with one caller all ur lookin for is to hit sumtin on the flop and wtf were u wishin for lik 2 3 3 or 2 2 3 or 3 5 6, ad so on to make a somewhat decent hand, i suggest that u not try to steal blinds with a 2 4, and u prolly wont get this problem again
