One of the big fears with shoving while so short in the original example is that we are often getting into a multiway pot as we have very little fold equity. At what point does the ability to likely get the pot HU play more of a role? To me it seems when we get up to that 6-7BB range then very often we will be heads up whereas by limp/set mining we and manage to get it in postflop we will sometimes be up against against draws that have more equity against us than just getting it aipf heads up.

Sigh at such a good debate getting derailed so easily. In all fairness VT, if you are going to create this thread and promote discussion then I think you need to be more willing to just point out why dscoot is wrong and let it go.I would like to see more discussion on at what stack size does this become a shove for a winning player. Based on sparco's math and some messing around with numbers I can see how for an average or below average player this might be a shove but at what point does a winning player (assume the 50% roi from before) with a very solid short stack game want to be shoving her
