Sounds like the makings of a Hallmark card... -
I just received this email from Harrahs ----- (don't worry, I am skipping to the good part...)A new, $50k Buy-In 'HORSE' contest has been added to the tournament schedule for the 2006 World Series of Poker at the Rio All-Suites Hotel and Casino. Pre-registration is now available.I am sure that many of the pros will be happy about this. (DANIEL, THIS MEANS YOU!) The average joe who enjoys the mixed game may find the buy-in a little steep. But there will also be a $5k buy-in HORSE event at the WSOP Circuit at Caesars in Vegas in April.

$1615....and I have already survived 2 all-inns

Guess who got their Oakleys in the mail today? 8) Sweet! Merry Christmas to me! 8) Thanks to Daniel for putting together the pool and the prizes. It was very generous of you. Thanks to Travis for mailing all that stuff out. Happy Holidays to all!

I hate to say it but I can see both sides of the argument. I agree with Daniel, the WSOP is becoming the World Series of Hold em. But the popularity of the events is driven by the television coverage. The average joe is not interested in the mixed games. Harrahs is going to make their money off of the Hold em events, hence more Hold em. But that doesn't explain Harrah's turning their back on the pros and eliminating mixed games events. That is inexcusable. The WSOP will probably never be what it once was. The prestige of being a bracelet winner will not carry the weight it once had. B -

So does this mean I am not getting my pics? :?

I'll smile if I get the pics too 8)

Can I get the bronze medal? Perhaps Honorable Mention?

I wish I had the chance to sit in that game. It would have been a hell of a lot of fun. Who complains about people who pay off big hands? Did I just fall into the twilight zone? And for those who disagree about it being good training, guess again. Every online site on the planet is giving away seats to every major tournament. Daniel is going to run into more and more people like the group he played with last night. The more experience he gets against people like the wannabees who post at this site the better.
