  1. I think the turn is a call since the gutshot plus trip outs give us decent equity vs. even a conservative range. But you might want to fold the flop, or raise/fold the flop if you are pessimistic.
  2. I'm basing my range on this particular player, not on his stats. His preflop aggression came from a lot of open-raising and raising, not a lot of three-betting.I think KQ is a plausible holding, which adds 6 more combos that I beat.

  4. why did you bet the river if you were going to fold for two?
  5. was wondering why no one mentioned this yet
  6. I don't know how much time you've spent at .5/1, but i am expert at that level. it plays so much different than the higher stakes that i wouldn't spend too much time trying to beat it. fwiw, i don't think c/ring 22 is a great play here. just bet it the whole way against a loose player or call down against an aggressive player.at a different level, your turn c/r could get someone to make a bad fold, but that isn't going to happen very often here.
  7. daniel, thanks for the feedbacki wouldn't mind checking this flop if i was sure button would bet. he was really passive though, and i was afraid of giving a free card to something like 9 T .but i think even this guy will bet when checked to on the turn since the T probably gave him a hand (or at least a decent draw) if he didn't have one already.good point about the river, because if i check/raise i can't give this guy enough credit to fold to a 3-bet, so it could get expensive.
  8. that's the point. the pot is huge and i'd love to get someone to (incorrectly) fold a gutshot or other week draw. all i know about button is he is 45/25/2 after about 50 hands and he hasn't capped preflop yet

  21. Foxwoods isn't party poker. They run a few (maybe 4) 10/20 games, and there is no regular hold'em game bigger than 20/40.
  22. the ace outs aren't that dirty ... AQ is a raise preflop even from most passive types, so AT and KJ would kill my fun. still, it would be better to draw on a Q62 board.
  23. with your budget ($200 per month) you should definately start online and start small. if NL is your thing, play the $10 buy-in games and work it up to $500, then play $25 NL. Keep moving up when you have 20 buyins for the next level.
