  1. just curious to look at a definite known winner's pokercharts to see what their graphs look like and compare mine any help would be appreciated
  2. Hahahaha... they told you you were wrong eh?Well I'd like to know if those tournament players win any tournaments. They sound like they're tight and just trying to place in the tournament as is the majority of the players that play the game. Coming from an experienced player that places and wins tournaments.... If you get the guy to go all in on a hand where you are a dominant favorite, then my friend, there are no bad moves... you just maximized your profits. Why raise to steal when you are positive you are winning and know exactly what he is playing? Why raise to steal when you know he wi
  3. Ya wish i took your advice and moved down in limits... but ive never experienced such a bad streak as this before usually they would go away or seem as if it was going away because i would win some sessions as well...they would go away after a day sometimes a week (less often), sometimes a month (extremely rare but i did have 1 month like this), but never such a HUGE slump in a short amount of time. not to mention when i start losing i become more motivated and focused and play 10x better than when im winning! Oh well, if anyone is reading this... just so you know it can happen to you, and i
  4. hahahahha.......no seriously i just went broke 2 minutes ago...guess 1000x BB isnt an adequate bankroll for high stakes NL hold em.... never happened before as ive been playing same stakes for over 1000 hours now and have been consistently making money.....no matter how much better i played after taking only 5% of my bankroll to the table i didnt expect this to happenman the lows in poker are abysmal
  5. are u kidding?of course 10 thousand tickets makes a difference. If its lotto 6/49 and there is like 14 million possible combinations.and you have 1 ticket, thats 1: 14 millionif you have 10 thousand. thats umm.. well a lot better odds, i failed math 3 times1: 1400 i'm smrt edit: now that i think about it, thats much better odds than the 1 : 6000 WSOP ME oddsthats a fallacy... buying more than 1 ticket does not increase your chances of winningYes it does. Buying 10,000 tickets makes you 1 to 146,097,962 instead of 146,107,962no it doesnt your chances of winning are still 1/14,000,000

  7. 1 ticket or 10,000 tickets would not make a difference, i mean in general how do you feel about it? Im saying it would be extremely difficult to get a correct answer id just liek to see everyones opinion on the matter.

  9. good point... but you also have to take into account that lotteries pay out even if you dont hit all the numbers as do tournaments pay out even if you dont win 1stas opposed to roulette where you either win or lose
  10. its not just that...the odds of winning the lottery are specific...while a tournament takes into account multiple times of surviving all ins of 70%-30% 60%40%... 50%50%... and opposed to all ins your odds of winning a hand or losing a hand when you are not all-in also is a factor ... and not to mention skill level of course.
  11. Of course the only real way of testing this would be to determine every odds of your hands all-in & those not all-in and multiply them up to see if the number is over the odds of winning the lottery
  12. I'm curious.... Would money for large tournament field buy ins be better spent on lottery tickets? Does anyone know the point at which when a field size hits a certain point it is no longer worth buying in to that tournament, rather it would be more valuable to play the lottery instead?I think that it would be better to play the lottery, because i think the odds of winning the lottery may be better than winning tournaments such as the WSOP especially because of the payout...don't you agree? Also lotteries may pay a larger amount... E.G. WSOP 7.5 million while winning lottery would pay out 100
  13. Yeah... she hears the bad language and the thud of the remote / mouse / monitor (delete as applicable) and then she asks the fateful question:"Should you quit now babe? I think your on tilt" I have yet to find a polite response to that question.hmm.. try...Does a bear shit in the woods?
  14. i like it going out to buy myself one any1 wanna pull the trigger?
  15. anyone know where i can buy something that i can wear that shocks the living shit out of me when i start going on tilt and not want to leave?
  16. I've been trying to average out my sessions winning and losing and how long I've been playing during those times each. To win in poker after all... is to play more when you are winning and less when you are losing. But, as I was studying this, a question popped up. What should the time or ratio be from time played while winning and time played while losing? Well, what I'm really asking is what is a realistic goal? 2 hours while doing good and 1 hour while doing bad? Some advice from some of the better poker players would be nice. Thanks.
  17. Ok lets see here.Hand 1...well nothing wrong here just an UTG call with cheap blinds played ok but just make sure to be careful some1 can have better kicker.Hand 2... would have saved chips here was a badcall (sorry didnt want to make you feel bad)Hand 3 ... perfectly played didn't get too married to the pocket pair like everyone else doesHand 4... plain unluckHand 5... bad all in could have pushed in at a better time seeing a guy raise 200... perhaps you were on tilt
  18. Ok, well you can't decide what your "better at" this early anyways. Not to mention the level of playing can be easier in the single tournament games. As for myself I'm good at both money and tournament games. When I started out I started money games, then I found a love in the SNG tournaments and multi - tables. Ever since I spent 50% of my time in each. I like the thrill of hitting a winning streak in a money game. However, I also love the thrill when im playing in multis and am at the final table going for first place. All together, I would say play both. Don't stick to one... you d
  19. I'm going to let you in a little secret. First off I don't know how you play games but what I would do in this position would be something that will help me later in on the game. For example, if this was a player that is superior to me and I'm not around to fool around with the good players (because im h ere to make $ off the bad ones) I would do the occasional raise so that I prove to him that he can't steal my blinds.... remember you dont have to do this all the time!!!! You only have to win 30% of the blinds to break even (if you are just stealing blinds).
  20. I've been playing poker for quite a long time recently and play No Limit currently for profit. Just recently, I have been put to the test with my skills. I play with huge blinds and am playing against a HUGELY super aggressive maniac. This is one I haven't seen before... its as if he is playing tournament poker but in money games (bound to go broke I know thats why im playing with him). Anyways, on to the story. I've read the books and understand that check/calling is the best move to make against such a player(sandbagging doesnt work too much). However, (perhaps i may be playing with sc
  21. Don't bother watching. It's not that much information available to u because you cant see their hands. If you want to learn , you learn better from learning from your mistakes on your own. You learn your own style of playing that suits you and works for you. But...if your just watching for fun, go ahead :wink:also, the poker players will make you think something else, if they are good at least, then they are doing a good job. That is the art of poker, to keep adapting and changing your playing style and disguise your plays.
  22. I just asked if you guys thought it was a bad beat, I didn't ask to critique my play. I know how to play poker, thanks.Stick to your .10/.50.
