Its good that she is starting to enjoy poker. Thankfuly she seems to enjoy the game more than the celebrities. She wants me to teach her how to play. Some people joke around that they would check raise thier mother, I guess I will get that chance.I guess even bad poker is better than no poker. I guess I have just been lucky. I haven't played the 100 plus games that some people are suggesting. I have probably played around 30 or so. And yes, I have had some bad luck. In the last SnG I played I had someone call me and make a gut shot to beat my aces. Put me down to almost a chip and a chair. I had the final tournament results e-mailed to me.I could post them if you want me too.

Excatly. I don't play for big money on-line. Too easy to get carried away. 5/10 and some nice low buy in sit n gos are the way to make your money on-line I find.

I highly doubt that 5th place in 10 person sitngos is your worst finish unless you have only played about 10 total.Why would you be surprised? I am a smart player and with everyone and thier mother playing now its easy to pick of the weakest of the herd. And if I don't, someone else does.

I suggest you switch to sit n gos. They are an excellent way to get back in the grove of things. Cash games are heaven if your luck is good, they will suck you dry if you seem to be losing to a 27 with pocket aces.It happens to us all. Just take a little while off, and come back fresh. I know from personal experience that the worst thing you can do after you lose a lot of money is try and win it back right away.

Whats your favorite way to play on-line? I like cash games, but I am a much better sit n go player. The lowest I have ever finished was two out of the money.

Yeah, I just got mine today. Made 15$ playing at the .5/1$ fixed tables. So far its excatly as advertisied.

My second royal didnt go as well. I made it on the turn. Couldn't get anything out of it. Strange, normaly you get more action on-line.

I was playing a cash game with some former friends (different reason than this hand LOL). I got AK suited and I raised triple the BB after two people limped in. The guy on the button called and one of the limpers called too.BOOM, flop comes down QJ10 of spades. It took every shred of will power I had not to smile. The only reason I stay on pokerstars.net is because I like the layout. The speed is suspect and the cards don't seem to follow normal poker odds. You make your straight or flush WAYYYY too offen for my tastes.

pokerstars.net is thier server and internet address. They have both cash and play chips on there. I only play sit and go's for cash on-line. Its too easy to get carried away otherwise.

The past few days it has been just awful. I want to know if its just me, or if its everyone else.

In live games, breathing is the key. If someone goes stiff, or holds thier breath then its 99% of the time a sign of weakness.In on-line games, its how people bet. Espically if they make a bet that leaves them with an even amount of chips. E.g They bet 454 chips and if you just call that leaves them with 2,000 even or something like that.Thats a sign of weakness.

It makes for more interesting t.v for the average viewer. I know TILT gets blasted quite a bit for making poker seem like it pocket aces every hand or that its full of thugs and cheaters.Well we know thats not true, but the person thats just tuning in doesnt. They think "they, this game is pretty neat" and start playing on-line. Now lets say only 10% of thoses people stick around after seeing how poker really is. I just played a hand were I was delt pocket aces and I raised pre flop. One player called, and another re-raised me. So I called him and the first player to call called the second raise too.So the flop comes down and its nothing that helps me, but nothing that scares me ethier.
