  1. my girlfriend really got into the office because of the jim/pam dynamic and story, and i see her smiling at the smallest parts of their interaction. like yesterday's episode when they both got up from their desks at the same time and she handed him the phone. i love how they write it because, like you said, the glances and pining is there at least a few times an episode and yet doesn't overpower the general mood or theme of the show. every once in awhile there will be a big moment, like jim confessing to karen he still cared for pam, but they seem natural, never forced, and just add to the
  2. you do realize that you are last year's flames right?
  3. i will say this though, (with my canucks hatred of course) if they go through many games getting 14 shots, and 0 in the 3rd, they aren't going to keep winning.
  4. without a doubt. you can't even compare the two. anything that tries to do what buffy ever did comes up short.
  5. i may have been off on this prediction. you guys are playing ridiculous right now. at least luongo is.
  6. anyone watch the musical episode last night? can't say i was too excited at the previews of it, but thought it was really really well done. great episode. the last song before the chick went into surgery was fantastic.
  7. yeah i heard that too. thought i heard of some other celeb being on the show sometime soon as well, but i can't remember who. hugh laurie completely deserved that golden globe. it still weirds me out to hear him speak with his british accent. i'm continually impressed with his "show voice". alot of actors can do accents, but house's voice is so individual and fitting of him, it's awesome. can't wait for this show to come back on every week.
  8. that's what's good about this show. it does them both so well, and it has developed characters so well that you actually care about their situations. the talk between michael and dwight was almost heartwarming. and ryan's "i did too" to the "i liked you better as a temp" line was fantastic.michael's look after andy punched a hole in the wall was priceless.edit: and the marv albert refrence was hilarious. i've watched this episode twice already and can't even remember all the good parts. seems like it's like that for every episode.
  9. fantastic. i wish they gave dwight another episode or two before he came back, as i would've liked to see more pranks on andy and more missing dwight, but i was very pleased with the whole episode. another massive staples reference, but that's fine. wasn't nearly as bad as the paper shredder. the jim/pam/karen thing has been handled so so well for a comedy, i am continually impressed that people can care so much about it and yet it takes up so little time from week to week.
  10. the synopsis of the show from nbc.com isTHE RETURN8:30/7:30c 01.18.2007THE OFFICE CELEBRATES OSCAR'S RETURN TO DUNDER MIFFLIN - Oscar (Oscar Nuñez) returns from his long vacation with mixed emotions on whether or not he still wants to be a part of the office. Meanwhile, Andy (guest star Ed Helms) takes advantage of recent events to get closer to Michael (Golden Globe winner Steve Carell). Jim (John Krasinski) turns to Karen (guest star Rashida Jones) and Pam (Jenna Fischer) for help to stage a prank on a new target. Rainn Wilson, B.J. Novak, Brian Baumgartner, Angela Kinsey, Kate Flannery, Phy
  11. soon as giggy comes back i make my run. besides, the first place guy never actually wins it all.
  12. oscar returns tonight. i'll be interested to see if dwight is a part of the show again right away or if he sits out a couple of episodes before he comes back.
  13. that scene had to be in there to make up for the cougar chase.and what a great scene it was.
  14. this is a very, very entertaining thread. if serge folds, how do you guys choose a new owner? because i want in.
  15. he was standing about 3 feet from the nuke. so i'm thinking he's not going to be helping you anytime soon.he didn't even try to stop the guy from hitting the switch. just yelled like a banshee and then vaporized.
  16. yeah he was forced to kill chapelle in season 3 due to terrorist demand. and mason from season 2 was going to die anyways.nina's death was just for fun and revenge for jack. that was by far the best.ctu got bombed season 2, infected season 5, always has moles in it.......yeah it would be a tough place to work.
  17. the goaltending is killin me. haven't made the minimum the past two weeks. might possibly this week, but we'll see.
  18. you're in what i like to call the "almaeda denial zone".i went through it as well in season 5, when a little injection in a fully prepared medical station took down the second coolest guy on the show. at first i went through the 5 stages of almaeda denial. denial, anger, anger, denial, and partial acceptance.then the tears, then the group therapy, and eventually, i almost got over it. still waiting for that fu man chu bastard to come back though.
  19. i remember them too, so you aren't alone.house, the office, and 24. beyond those three shows, i couldn't give a rats ass about anything on tv. those 3 shows are so good, they ruined the rest of tv for me. i'm okay with that.
  20. yep, we're the head of the pack right now. hopefully we can stay there.i've been wondering the same thing. either a couple of teams in the NW will get into the playoffs barely and make a run, like the last two years, showing that the NW is truly just the toughest division in hockey, or they'll both get punted first round because the teams just don't quite stack up to anyone outside the division.
  21. there are so many great characters it's tough to get them in for one show unfortunately. creed wasn't even there. kevin had one line. toby wasn't there. i wish the show was an hour long each time (like the christmas episode) but with it being a half hour, it always, always leaves you wanting more.
  22. and the flames are back in first place after a drubbing of the avs. man this division is nuts. when i'm actively rooting for a team (the wild) that is a 3 points behind us, you know the division is too close. hopefully the oilers lose 17 in a row.
  23. he'll be back soon. andy is going to be gone as ed helms only signed on for about half of this season's episodes, and there is absolutely no way this show goes without dwight.best parts of the nightmichael actually being a great salesmandwight and jim working awesome together. dwight's backseat workup before the meeting.jim's slap hard across dwight's facestanleyboobs, and the ensuing laughter that followedkevin's "do you really not know? because it's really important"anything with jim and dwight was gold. great episode.
  24. iggy is my choice. the last few years i could easily say kipper, but this year iginla has been the mvp. from my biased point of view, of course. if no flame could win it, i'd be going with pronger or crosby.
