  1. The home game that I play in has about 7 regulars and about 4-6 occassional players that rotate in and out depending on availability and work obligations. We never have a table with more than 9-10 as the action dries right up. 6-7 players is perfect. Everyone who plays in our game buys in for $100 and you get $200 in chips (so essentially we play $0.50/1 blinds). We always play a cash game and never play tournaments anymore. You can reload at any time you like. Generally, each player comes with about $300-400 on them so there is about $2000-3000 in the room. We have 4 players that are good pok
  2. WTF!!!!!!! Everytime I have a hand this damn site crashes. I have only been on it a little over two weeks and it has gone down twice in the middle of hands.I just flopped the nut straight in a $80+4 HU SnG and buddy went all in...I called and BOOM...Crash. SME.Back to InterPoker for me.
  3. I am down too. I have two hands in play...a set of 4's and two pair with money in play on both. Anyone know what happens with your cash when this happens? I am new to FTP. Thanks.
  4. It seems strange to me that all of the negative comments are coming from our American friends. Is it possible that even though we are neighbors, as Canadians, we have the ability to take ourselves a little less seriously? Or is that as a nation we have had a history of a cultural melting pot and a more tolerant society of people being different? In a city like Toronto, of which I grew up in the suburbs of, we all learned to get along as people. I can see what DN was trying to accomplish here...although I felt that the joke was lame it was not meant to be spiteful...despite what Spike Lee or an
  5. Royal, you know my castle is always open for business. Just keep me away from those damn blackjack tables! They eat away at the bankroll for sure. After this weekend I am free and clear for some more Niagara debauchery.
  6. I jumped up to play $5/10NL cash games this week and made some good cash in only 3 days. I went right out and bought a 42" plasma before I could lose the money! I have had the chance to withdraw before and go spending but I always missed my window and ended up donking off the cash. This time though...no chance. TV is already on the wall!
  7. Perhaps in the Fall some of the FCP'ers would like to make a trip down to Niagara. If you were looking for one stop shopping for everything - poker, drink, golf, drinks, accommodations, drinks and general gambling - then we have it all. I don't often post so Royal can act as my reference that Niagara would def be a good time. I work at a premium golf course here in the area (I won't say which one for fear that this comes off as an ad) but I could certainly provide everyone with a great rate to play. We could make a tournament out of it and then head over to either casino for some card action.
  8. This is probably the best Vegas article I have read to date. I immediatley forwarded copies to my group of friends that had the exact same experience last November when we celebrated everyone's 30th birthday. We did it again in March...hey you only turn 30 once and any excuse will do!Hopefully we'll do it again this November! Good luck on your trip. Not good luck for good cards but good luck that you will have the same experiences!

  18. Great party last night DN. Work this morning took a back seat to sleeping in after many, many FCP cocktials. Hey DN, CanadaAM must have sucked this morning! Bacardi was nice enough to hand out poker chips and decks of cards so we ended up getting some glitter in play. I think the whole night was a blast...but next time, pick a Friday night!
  19. Thanks pal. Would have come home from Vegas up a bunch but I dumped a few hundred at Sapphire's. They had a special...two dances for $30. Who can resist a sale?I only got busted twice in the cash games in Vegas - both times were to Mark. Dirty bastard made a set on me both times...once I had a smaller set.Vegas in February eh...hmmm. That might need to be looked into a little more seriously.
  20. I am a newby here to posting but plan to get on the program.I started out playing online poker in March of 03. I played the same style that I did in my home games at the $1/2 NL tables. I went through my first $500 in under a week.I invested in some poker books, and developed a little more patience at the table. When poker popularity exploaded here, we like everyone else, travelled to MTT around the area. I hosted one that Royal Tour won...he hosted one that I won. As my bankroll developed I moved up limits to where I am now playing $3/6 NL and $5/10NL. My summer was so cold at the tables that
  21. I played a session of $1/2 NL on Pacific Poker last night and experience some of the most frustrating beats in a long time. Had 10 10 against one opponent with a board of 3 4 7 rainbow. I had made it $18 to go, after 5 limpers and only one player called. I put him all in for $75 and he called, flipping over 55. Turn was a K and the river was (of course) a 6 making him the 3-7 straight.Next I had AK on the button. 8 players limped so I made it $26 to go. One caller. Flop came 4 9 K and I bet $90 into a player with $144 left. He reriased all in. I didn't put him on much of a hand so I called. He
  22. Great to see two Canadian boys heads up for the cash. I was rooting for Royal Tour...almost Mitch.
