  1. Lol, but you can't say someone hasn't posed that thought though! I'm sure they have! The Washington Bullets changed their name to the Wizards.... wtf does Wizards have to do with DC? I mean bullets made more sense to me
  2. Oddly enough, Moneymaker's brother also plays using his account. I was strangely at a tournament table with him the other day. To be honest I thought the account was just another lamo trying to pretend to be a pro, then I looked up his online name and sure enough.... Money800. So someone was making fun of him and I asked a question and he stated that he was Chris' brother playing from his account during a holiday gathering.... was quite interesting to sit there and just chat for a while.
  3. Hmm.... I haven't read a specific book that had large areas dedicated to pot odds, but I think Sklansky's Hold'Em For Advanced Players and The Theory of Poker contained basic information to get you understanding pot odds better. Not to mention there are phenominal reads.
  4. Yes you can cash out via other means. For example, if you are cashing out on pokerstars you specify the withdrawl method and on Full Tilt after you submit the cash out request you get a confirmation e-mail.... just respond there and state that you would like to withdrawl via NeTeller and then they will request your username and neteller account number.
  5. Basically, like mentioned above, you will have to start at the bottom and work your way up. Start at the micro-limit and start moving upwards from there. This is the only way to build a bankroll on limited funds. If you play above the scope of your bankroll, like we all have before, you will find yourself out of funds quickly and feel hopeless about your playing prospects. The simple solution to this is to NOT do it.Start small.... make sure you have 300-500xBB and for no-limit games aim for about 1000xBB. These bankrolls will help you sustain the swings and you will find yourself startin
  6. Definitely not. I think this society has become too cautious and PC in everything we do. Things that we cannot control should be appreciated, and I think if Wynn was adding a tsunami to his hotel then it was merely out of appreciation for the force and spectacle that natural disasters can bring. Surely it was not out of some insensitive thought he had.
  7. What I would do if you are going to make the jump is put aside about 6 months worth of expenses first to cover rent, car payments, food and entertainment etc.... keep it seperate from your bankroll and then make the move. This way if you are hurting in a bad streak you at least able to pay the bills and still live without worry.
  8. I have a play money account on there just so i can keep an eye on tournaments and ring game selection. If the game selection improves I will consider putting some money into it since the rake back structure is great.
  9. Obviously that article is written by someone who does not regularly make it to the final stages of a tournament. Thus the article is wreaking of jealousy instead of admiration for the people involved. While I will admit the plays they make with some hands is far from optimum, let's face it, predictability gets you nowhere in poker.... if Johnny Chan only raised with AK and Howard Lederer only raised with AJs then we'd never finish a tournament because everyone would fold when someone raised.... Tournament poker, particularly in the final stages of major tournaments, is not the same as ring gam
  10. I would recommend staying at a lower level, possible the 3/6 or 2/4 until your game recovers. I went through this last week myself.... I lost 75% of what I had earned last month due to a horrible streak of cards. Last night I broke out of the streak, but I had to drop a few levels to do so just to build my confidence. Don't try to be a hero and gain it all back, and don't let ego get in the way.... remember to have fun when you play.
  11. I do like some of the features of the site though. I really like the sound effects and cards etc.... kinda cartoonish and makes you feel warm and fuzzy.
  12. I have an account on there and 7 Sultans which is a sister site. I signed up well over a year ago when they were offering their $15 free just for signing up with no deposit necessary. I turned that into a pretty good stack, but I just don't play there enough to make it worthwhile. I'll probably cash out of it as the tournament and game selection aren't that great when I compare it to my other sites.
  13. Due to the swings of no-limit games and due to lack of selection in terms of big game no-limit is concerned, you will find most players playing limit games. However, in alot of the big games you will see a mixed game style, wherein there are some no-limit games thrown in with a 100k per round max betting limit.
  14. I recall when I setup my neteller account I thought it was massively inconvenient to go through all these processes to get it working, but then once I got it working and setup and I realized how easy it was and how convenient, then it made the 2-3 day process of setting up the account well worth it. So don't get turned off by that, it's for your safety and security.
  15. yah the biggest issue with champs is that they don't have a very good game selection right now.
  16. right now we have 26 people! we need 28 to pay out five positions! hurry hurry hurry! 10min left!
  17. NYAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Poker! :)I'm waiting in the chat room for some pre-game trash talking
  18. *snicker*so when are you scanning it for us?
  19. I use Neteller for all of my online poker deposits.... I highly recommened it. They have good support and I've never experienced any problems with depositing to online sites. I play primarily on PokerStars and it works extremely quickly [usually within 5 seconds]
  20. There is a book called Party Poker Cracked or something along those lines.... I believe this is what you are referring to.I don't know if it has any valid information in it, but if you wish to dibulge in the reading of it, by all means go ahead.
  21. I'll be there and ready to rumble.... I'm unmistakable with my BMW Roundell as my picture....
  22. Well, I like the open-ended straight draw odds here, but the pot odds don't justify the call. It will cost you $20 to win $50 at that point, which is only 2.5 to 1 odds. You need at least 4.8 to 1 to make the call right. Even if you consider implied odds, you only have $30 remaining based on your estimations, which gives you approx 3.33 to 1 on the final all-in call. This isn't the appropriate odds to make the call even on the flop, much less the turn.I think you should've folded here, if not on the flop, definitely on the turn. However, being pot committed particularly at that stage in
  23. Interesting.... however the tournament does not appear to be available to US residents.... http://www.greatcdn.com/home.html
