  1. I think Lebron is a better passer than MJ, but thats about it.EDIT: Just to clarify, I think Lebron is a more gifted athlete than Jordan, but Jordan was a better overall basketball player. The scarey part is that Lebron has the potential to be better than anyone in history of the game. It just come down to how bad he wants it.
  2. I wouldnt bet on him "coaching Dwight Howard for a decade." He'll probably crash and burn pretty quickly like most college coaches who jump to the NBA. I'll be shocked if he lasts the full term of that contact. IMO, the Magic way overpaid to get him.
  3. I've seen the PS3s sitting in Best Buy. They're just too expensive. On the flip side, I cant even remember ever seeing a Wii at Best Buy. I know they have them. They just sell out as soon as they come in.Bottom line is the PS3 is still a game machine, and $500+ is just too much. Then Sony massively screwed up with shortages. Therefore, parents were more likely to buy the cheaper Wii for their kids. Once that happened, parents were more likely to try the thing out and spead the word to their friends (other adults with money). Nintendo had one of the best combinations of technology and m
  4. I like them looking into the future with Jack. Really sets up a whole new set of questions.I'm really wondering what series of events leads up to them getting off the island. The island itself remains lost (since of course Jack has no idea where it is or how to get back there).
  5. I think its Bens funeral they are refering to and he is in the coffin.First, no one was at the wake. Of all the people on the island, only Ben really fits this senario. Of course no one from the crash would go, but he's also lied to his own people. Basically no one likes him. When Kate was asking about if she was going to the funeral her response was , "Why would I want to go to the funeral?" As if that was an outrageous question. Kate would go to the funeral of anyone from the crash (plus Desmond). They were like family. Only Ben really fits her response. (Maybe Juliet, but you would t
  6. I'll admit it, I was way off on the Jazz-Spurs series. The Jazz just look totally overwhelmed . You can see it on their face. And the Spurs are shooting lights out on top of that. Still the Jazz are coached by Sloan and I gotta think they'll show some pride going back to Salt Lake City. The Jazz arent this bad.
  7. LOL at Boston fans.I cant believe Oden and Durant are heading out West. As if the gap between the East and West wasnt bad enough. The Blazers are getting good in a hurry.BTW, I know Suns fans are already ticked, but Atlanta getting the 3rd pick didnt help.
  8. I dont agree with that idea. Some of the illegals come over here with very little education and not very many jobs skills. If that same person can do your job for half the price, then you're probably being paid too much. People should be paid according to the value of the work they provide.
  9. I'm picking both the Pistons and Spurs to make it to the finals, but I wouldnt say it was a major upset if either team didnt make it there.I'd be surprised if the Cavs beat the Pistons, but I still think it wil go 7. The Cavs are a very good rebounding team and are ok at taking care of the ball. That should keep them in most of the games. Then Lebron is still the best player on the floor by far. I think thats good enough for at least 2 wins for the Cavs. With the Jazz-Spurs, I wouldnt be as surprised if the Jazz won, but I'm still picking the Spurs in 7. Once again the Jazz are a great reb
  10. I think the Cav-Pistons series will go 7 games with the Pistons winning.
  11. The last 4 or 5 episodes have been just awsome. It just keeps picking up speed. I feel sorry for the people who bailed early this season.
  12. I agree, Blake is more of a musician. He just happens to be caught up in a singing competition.I think Melinda got caught up in the looks thing. There were only two women left and Jordin is way more attractive. Melinda is the better singer, but Jordin has had her moments. And Jordins personality seems to be one of her strong points. It's weird that Elliot Yamen was performing on this show because the same thing basically happend to him last year. He was the best vocalist of the final 3 last year, but lost out in the charisma category. I think Melinda is better than Elliot, but its still
  13. Wait a second, you really dont see a difference between the Horry cheap shot incident and the one where Duncan walked out onto the floor? Really? You cant be serious. Have you seen what actually happened on the floor when Duncan walked out there? Basically nothing. Also, I missing why the bolded part matters in this discussion. If this happened in the Nets-Cavs series is it ok then? Do you really want to hear Stern say, "Yea I know rules exist and if it was anyone else they would be suspended, but this series is exciting and I really want the Suns to be at full strength." And where do yo
  14. I know most analysts hate the rule and players have always hated it, but I dont see the rule changing. Imagine if the rule didnt exist. During the Suns/Spurs Game 4 incedent, you probably wouldve had all of the players and coaches on the floor. That's 30+ people out there and 3 refs trying to calm things down. When that many players get on the court and emotions are high, someone is bound to throw a punch, and the all hell breaks loose. Thats what used to happen, the two players already on the floor are pushing (or worse), and then 2 other guys (one a starter and one who hardly even playe
  15. Listen, I dont like that Stoudemire and Diaw are suspended. It might ruin a great game 5. (Dont count the Suns out. They'll be playing at home with a chip on their shoulder). But the NBA HAD to suspend them. They HAD to enforce the rule. If they dont, it looks as though they're playing favorites to the Suns. That's why the rule is so black and white, and its not left open to interpetation. If the rule is left open to personal judgement, they create a whole new (and much much worse) type of criticism.BTW, I actually like the hip check by Horry. (And I agree with Horry's suspension too).
  16. I'm not sure how you could argue Stoudemire didnt leave the vicinity of the bench. It's very clear that he did.
  17. First, the suspensions sucks for the Suns. Second, Stern and the NBA made the right move in suspending them.Since in circumstances such as these people rarely bother to read the rules, I listed it below along with a link. It's Rule 12, Section VII, part C.http://www.nba.com/analysis/rules_index.html First, I'll discuss why the rule exist in the first place. It of course came to exist because of the bench clearing brawls in the mid 90s. They couldve made the rule so that only players in the brawl were suspended but they decided not to. This is becuase the refs already have enough trouble
  18. BTW, I think the Suns rebounding problems are coming back to haunt them. In game 1 and 3 they got killed on the boards. In Game 2 they were about even. Its tough to win a series getting dominated on the boards like that. It's allowing the Spurs to get 2nd chance points and control the pace. I've heard people say the Suns need to step up on the boards, but its been this way all season. I dont think they can just start doing that now against a team like the Spurs. And the post game interviews of last game revealed a lot. Some of the comments made by the Spurs seemed like they were taunting
  19. I've never seen that strategy work before, and I think the reason it doesnt usually work is more psychological than anything else. When a teams leader, in this case Duncan, is going off, it doesnt just improve his confidence, but the confidence of the entire team. The rest of the team feels invincible whether they are scoring or not. Instead of saying, "The Suns cant stop Duncan," they say, "The Suns cant stop us." Those are two very different points of view, and the second one is much more dangerous. You could see the confidence in all of the Spurs in last nights game. And playing tha
  20. Tonights Suns-Spurs game got very physical. That really plays to the spurs advantage. The more physical it got, the better the Spurs played. I dont think the Suns want to play that way, but I dont see the physical play decreasing. With all the talk of dirty play, the series might actually get more physical than tonight (if thats possible).Extra things on the game... First, the Suns need to stop complaining so much and just play their game. They're letting all the talk of dirty play get in their heads. Second, they are going to have to double team Duncan at some point. I dont care how go
  21. There was only one body in the van when they found it. They even said that the body was Roger the WorkMan.
  22. The Cavs-Nets was a good game. But the Suns-Spurs game was awsome. That was a finals caliber type of game.I think the Suns trainer made a big mistake by not immediately taking Nash to the locker room to get stitched up and hopefully have him back out there. That was a huge gash. I'm very surprised the refs allowed Nash to take the floor again. IMO, under the rules, he should not have been allowed out there like that.
  23. Well I guess if you're gonna lose, leave nothing in doubt. The Bulls did about everything possible to lose that game. On the plus side, they cant possibly play worse than that.
  24. I think Pistons will take the Bulls and go to the finals. With the Suns/Spurs series, I'm picking the Spurs. After dropping game 1, they easily handled a very good Nuggets team. I was impressed. While the Nuggets are no where the Suns caliber, they still like to run the floor. The Spurs managed to control the pace. They'll try to the same thing to the Suns which wont be easy, but if anyone can do it, its the Spurs. The winner of the Suns/Spurs should win the whole thing.BTW, everyone is hoping for a Warriors/Suns matchup, and I cant blame them. I'm gonna die laughing if it ends up being
