  1. dont plagiarise matasow comebacks and think no one notices.
  2. i can't argue that there is a stronger case for live play with NL than with Limit.
  3. i play poker to make money not to be sociable... if i want to be sociable i will go out to a bar/club wherever, but i think if you go to a B&M cardroom to be sociable then you are socially deficient. I worked out that 1 hour of online = approx 8 hours , now whilst the level of competition live is undoubtedly worse it does not make up for the enormous number of hands you can see online. This is of course if you can beat online games.
  4. dont you gusy find it more boring live...30-40hands per hour, most of the time you arent doing jack, if you multitable online there is always something to do.
  5. soft. really soft. while i cant say i have played at other lived venues, i find i hard to believe there are softer 4/8 tables anywere else... the toughest tables are probably those tight/passive tables, and from there the quality gets worse to soemthing like loose/what the hell am i doing. god bless poker on tv.
  6. incorrect. swing was 2/9 of his BR. but hey im only a maths and stats major, and this required all of my mathematical tools. someone tell me to shutup. or to stop drinking. but i am right. about having that last drink.
  7. I think we all, as loyal FCP members, raise $100K so beans can play DN heads up. Further, we get some cameras in there because the televisions rights would be huge!
  8. anyone want to argue that he has also taken the most from the game?
  9. effectively we were down to 4 handed because UTG folded. and even if i jsut limp in, imstill not sure i can get away from my hand post flop, but thats me, i am a limit player where it costs me a bet or two rather than my stack which may be half my problem. Only playing NL for kicks with mates.
  10. although it doesnt sound it i thought my play was semi cautious- hesitated for about 5 minutes before deciding how to proceed on the flop. I basically decided i couldnt throw away top 2 pair and thus i thought if i couldnt fold i didnt like falt calling on such a dangerous flop, so i put in a raise. I am just kicking myself for not folding because i elt pretty strongly i was beat depsite by strong holding... thats poker, and thats hindsight.
  11. i guess my biggest problem as not sticking to my read. I just could not throw away top two pair, even though i was probably 80% sure i was up againt K 10. I think other players here would be able to put her on a better hand, but how many would still have the skill to throw the hand away?
  12. home game, 1/2 blinds, stacks are about 50-60 each early on. 5 handed, i getdealt J Q o/s and raise to 6. My friends fiancee who has never played holdem before calls from the sb, as does my mate the BB, who is reasonably new but at leas knows the basics. Flop, 9 J Q. the sb now asks what beats what, and wants a ranking of poker hands...is she on a flush draw.. straight draw...has she flopped a straight?? she bets 10, BB folds, now upto me. something tells me she has k 10, but there are so many other hands she could have. I really cant decided what to do. All 3 options seem reasonable- fold
  13. maybe you should listen to your neighbours wife (who is quote possibly your neighbour also) you cant win, you play horribly and cant understand why so there just has to be a time to give up. For you it was when you were conceived.
  14. alrite BnI, your loyal supporters have come out and stuck by you.... now its time to reward us with your legendary antics.
  15. I cant believe DN didnt mention BnI in his blog.... doesnt this guy read his own forum!
  16. BnI is the man... I 2nd you for moderator.... and yes, ill take seat 1 on ron.
  17. just out of curiosity, what sort of pay goes with being a moderator? seems like there would be a fair bit of work involved so just curious....
  18. i must say after bagging the play, this is one horrible beat.
  19. did you consider folding on the flop when you are last to act and it is checked to you... you can avoid getting outplayed that way. The other way to avoid getting outplayed is to go all in. Your play was somewhere in the middle of those 2 fabulous options.
  20. be greatful. At least you know you suck. Now cashout and buy some lottery tickets.
  21. far too passive. raise the flop. raise the turn. there are plenty of hands that beat 3 aces. really.
  22. Ironically, the first player to make a horrible donkey move was you. Not raising preflop. you suck, your not funny, you are not very good at poker and god bless america
  23. that sounds a little tough..guess ill just start from the next session i play..better late than never
