  1. who hides herself from her cats, but still expects them to worship her. If they don't, she'll burn them for eternity.
  2. But I did know, just like I do now. Deal with it. You've gone from accusing me of being ridiculous by thinking Wigan would win the FA Cup (something I've never said), to now saying that they could. Are you drunk?
  3. I'm glad I seem to have amused you by not believing in your fairytale. That, I have no problem with. But to accuse me of thinking Wigan will win the FA Cup is too far, Sir. Too far.
  4. I've been a big fan of Dawkins for a while. I haven't read this latest book yet, but I've read The God Delusion and The Selfish Gene.I've never believed in God, ever. Even when I was about 5 or 6 sitting in morning assembly at school reading prayers and singing hymns, I knew it was all a load of complete rubbish... but I don't think it was until I became aware of Dawkins that I realized how brilliantly the myth of God and religion can be dismissed. i.e - with great intelligence and the perfect mix of arrogance.I love that man.
  5. Poor by United. In a strange way, it was a bad time to play Liverpool. They knew they had to get something here to save their season... we were unable to respond.Still, I guess it's good for the Premiership and the season in general. Surprised to see Arsenal blow a 2 goal lead against West Ham too.
  6. Andy Cole? Probs not, but he's played for loads of clubs.I have a question: Who has scored a hat-trick in a game, but still lost the game? (player and club, please)So... what's people's thoughts on the league so far this season? I think it's been one of, if not the, best Premiership season so far. Loads of goals, upsets, good football, and a better standard imo by a few of the mid-table/lower clubs, like Sunderland and Villa who're looking like they could push the top 5 and beat anyone on their day. Wigan and Everton are improving... a little inconsistent, but looking good. And then teams like
  7. I'm sure that if there is a God (there isn't), he doesn't have quotas to fill... so, it wouldn't be a case of 'taking you' over anyone else. Because that would be quite horrible now, wouldn't it? It would indicate that God was an evil, narcissistic type being, just waiting to take people off the face of the earth for his own pleasure.Personally, I wish you and chrozzo nothing but the best. I honestly hope you both come through any problems you have and wish you the best of luck... but, in the meantime, stop wishing that God takes you instead. Relax, Rose.
  8. Get well soon, please little guy...Very best wishes.
  9. Liverpool Great goal by Bent today... nice assist by a balloon too.
  10. Teddy Sheringham?Looks like he's gotta be the answer to one of these sooner or later.
  11. Shipped $30. ($5 pool and the $25).Sigh... congrats!
  12. I'm not gonna rise to that.
  13. I was making a bad pun. Blown out of all proportion.Yeah sorry, it's an English thing.
  14. This story's been blown up out of all proportion, in my opinion.
  15. You didn't deny that it wasn't Tom Dwan... It must be her.
  16. That's the guy I was thinking of. lol, I have no clue but whoever it is, that's a hell of a record.
  17. I was given one of these for a day as a courtesy car while my car was in for a service.Couldn't wait to hand the keys back, load of crap. Estate agent's car too, which is another reason to hate them.
  18. Without looking it up, I remember it was a striker who had a really big nose.. I can picture him, but I can't for the life of me remember his name. I can't remember who he signed for either, but it was a mid table type team. There was a fair amount of hype at the time, I recall, but he failed pretty miserably.Ravanelli must have been one of the first 2 or 3 Italians to play in the Premiership too.
  19. He's out for up to a month. Unreal.Oh well, he might not have got that many points against Milan anyway. In with Fabregas!
  20. Hey, I just read your article talking about Ferguson complaining about referees, rather than his own team. You're right he does that, but with very good reason. It deflects criticism away from the team's performance in the press, which in turn can affect team confidence. He'd rather the papers talk about his opinions on referees than a bad performance or even a bad team selection. There's also the chance that it may help in the future to have decisions go his way (although this is laughably over-hyped, imo. People now have it in their heads that United are favoured by refs though, so there's n
  21. I don't think they should be Olympic sports though, like I said above. Like golf, they're already huge global sports with their own World Championships/Majors.I don't see how golf is a 'perfect and logical inclusion' in any way. Why not just include every single sport in the world then?
  22. I think it's equally ridiculous that soccer is an Olympic sport, it really shouldn't be, as far as I'm concerned. The same goes for tennis. The reason I'm more inclined to give rugby a pass is because it's rugby 7's, plus they would get rid of the rugby 7's World Cup altogether. Having said that, if I was voting yes or no for it's inclusion, I'd vote no.
