This is the essence of how the big buildings are built in vegas. The house has the advantage in BJ. so if you go all-in with the advantage 45% to 55% then you will lose every once in a while. but you will win 10% more often than they will hit thus creating a positive revenue in the long run. Stick with it and let me get into this game!!!!!

couldn't disagree more with the c/c flop. What information did you gain from doing that? Plus you give him a free card. Unless you just want to keep the pot small and figure risk vs. reward.I'm curious how the other guy did in the tourney. The biggest piece of missing info is what kind of player is the other guy?

true.. you can't count on it but he did bet. I think c\c is the worse possible play in this position (If you truly put him on an ace). However, if you put him on an ace and the board blanks then you can assume that he missed and take the pot down. You have to go with your gut on this one and if he was right then he saved some chips and he tournament life as well.

There are some great post responses.There are just tooooo many possibilities with the BB. He could had A4 or 66 or anything. I think there are 2 possibilites here..1. Take absolute control pre-flop by re-re-raising him (but this is VERY dangerous) and not worth it to me 1st hand.I don't like the flop play AT ALL. If you are puttin him on an ace then make him pay c/r'ing the flop. If he calls then that will give you some info. I don't mind the fold on the turn but then again that makes the flop play that much worse and he should have never seen the turn.But no matter.. if the fold was a mistak

Dude... what kind of player is "enemy" tight...loose? some people will think you are bluffing and will reraise with AK or AQ or JJ or pretty much anything. You have second NUTS. If he has a set of Aces then you are coolered and there is nothing you can do about it. You bring up a hand about DN and he also called on HSP with 66 vs. 55 (Gus Hanson) and the board was 956 5 2 and he called an all-in (and lost). We all get coolered time to time. But you have to take that guys chips in that situation. If you folded I would love to play some cash games with you sometime.

last night 3 hands (within 5) I got donked on the turn and river ,runner runner, (PokerStars) and went bust. I would love to say it's rigged but I know better (and it's childish) that, and the fact that at our weekly home tourney I went from chip leader to out in 3 straight hands with 3 amazing suckouts!!!So this leads me to this question... Is there a sacrifice to appease the great poker gods for the sin that I must have committed?!I would prefer something other than monetary sacrifices... if there is any poker priest out there... please advise!

Yes, there have been some "preachers" that have given others a very bad name. Not everyone is out for pure financial gain like Robert Tilton and others. But for every bad one there are 500 genuine ones.

speaking strictly on cash games... there is certainly more action in limit games... but I find myself getting KILLED in $5/10 limit. I do fairly well in NL. So, here is my question does it take more skill at limit or is it just that luck plays a greater role? I got KK cracked twice and 10/10 cracked all by lower pairs. I don't know if I played bad or they sucked out.
